All About You

1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!. I prefer places that are open and airy, with huge windows and too many skylights. Balconies and bay windows with seats and other elegant/elaborate touches are a must. At the same time, I don't feel comfortable in places that feel like the furniture is wrapped in plastic after the guests leave--so casual and informal accoutrements are a big plus, like big squashy couches and shag carpet of an alarming color. I also absolutely love the area I currently live in, so my ideal home is on a hill with a beautiful view of the ocean, surrounded in pine trees and rugged mountains.

2. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
1. Zombies. For one thing, they used to be my friends when they were alive, and now they want to eat me. For another, they're slow, creeping, and for some reason impossible to escape no matter how far and fast you run. >:/
2. Nuclear war. Most of my nightmares are just regular dreams until suddenly MUSHROOM CLOUD ON THE HORIZON, YOU'RE SCREWED NOW! Sort of the same slow, creeping, impossible to escape death.
3. Being emotionally disconnected from my family. A good amount of them are either rude and crude, or unforgiving and cold, but I still need their approval. If they all disowned me I'd probably have a break down.

3. What is your favorite aspect of your physical appearance and why?
If you'll forgive me saying so, I have enormous boobs. I know it sounds crass, but seriously. What else do I need?

4. If you could change one thing about your physical appearance, what would you change and why?
My teeth are really crooked. :/ It doesn't keep me from smiling (actually I laugh at just about everything) but I still feel self-conscious about them.

5. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
1. A million dollars. I know, classic answer, right? The first million is the hardest anyway, I'd invest it all and start my own business a few years later, most likely as an artist. Or I'd just live off the interest and write for a living.
2. The ability to change gender at will! Not only an awesome party trick, but then I can pick up ladies and gentlemen. These wishes are just getting better and better.
3. To have a long and happy life with my significant other of choice.
--What, no world peace? Here's the thing--it's not going to last, not even for a year. Why waste your wish? I'd rather use my invested million dollars and donate to charity or public education or starving third world countries and generally make the world a better place with my own two hands than trust in something nebulous like "world peace."

6. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;) Living on my own, across the country from my family, never asking for any monetary assistance. It's not as hard as it sounds, but it really makes you feel free. I also had a brief stint with the US Army--I'm more proud of how I was able to overcome my fear and stick to my guns and enlist rather than being proud of the actual enlistment (which only lasted six months anyway).

7. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you?
Ah, a difficult question. Knowledge and pleasure are the most important to me, I tend to seek them out the most. All others are really a close second, but I supposed adventure would be the least important, I'm not very spontaneous.

8. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values?
"Fate doesn't hang on a wrong or right choice
Fortune depends on the tone of your voice."
Ben Folds

9. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Financial security is incredibly important to me. It was something of a luxury growing up, one I didn't have often. I know it's considered shallow to hold wealth in such a high regard, but being able to afford what I want or need, as soon as I want or need it, is a wonderful feeling for me. On the flip side, I have only recently begun to learn how to manage money, and even now it's "check bank account once a week to make sure you have enough for World of Warcraft and going out to dinner three times before Friday."

10. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office? Drawing and writing are huge hobbies for me, which I hope to someday turn into a career. I love to tell stories, especially ones that make people laugh or think about something they don't normally think about. I recently started reading for fun again, after a friend harangued me into reading "Game of Thrones." Also I *cough* have a level 80 blood elf mage in World of Warcraft.

11. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical).
Positive:
1. I'm friendly, as much as I hate to admit it sometimes. I love entertaining people and making them feel at ease. I like meeting new people and adding their contact info to my massive mental rolodex. I never thought I'd be a networker.
2. I'm told I'm pretty sharp. I probably get most of my wit from my mom. Having a good quip, comeback, or trash talk ready at all times is essential.
3. I'm stubborn. Yes, I consider this positive. People who can't stick to their beliefs and hold their own in a mental contest are weak-willed. I'm proud of my ability to stand up for myself and what I believe in.
Negative:
1. I'm judgmental. Another trait from my mom. I like being right, so I'm pessimistic about people, because then I'm either right or pleasantly surprised.
2. It's very hard for me to forgive and forget. If you've wronged me once, I'll remember it forever, and think of some way to get you back for it, otherwise you've gotten away with treating me poorly and will no doubt make a habit of it.
3. I have anxiety issues. I tend to obsessively overanalyze things to the point of having mild breakdowns over them, especially social situations.

A Song of Ice and Fire Related

1.Which is your favorite book of the series so far? What about your least favorite?
"A Game of Thrones" is my favorite, if only because it set the tone for the series so well. And we always remember our first, right? In truth, it's hard to pick a favorite. Martin's storytelling is beyond anything I could ever hope to achieve. When I read, I tend to try to dissect an author's technique, find out why they used this device, why they wrote the character this way, etc. I can't do that with ASOIAF -- I get too into what's going on. :P

2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series?
1. Davos Seaworth. I love that he got as far as he did just by being honest to a total hardass who couldn't find it in him to fault the guy for being honest. DAVOS ILU.
2. Arya Stark. I am a total sucker for strong heroines, what can I say, and she's a little spitfire.
3. Melisandre. I don't know if I can even explain this one. She's just.. she seems to honestly believe she's doing the right thing, even though she so very clearly isn't. She's powerful and mysterious and I probably have a girlcrush on her. I wouldn't like her character if we met at the nightfires, but as a reader I love what her character does to the plot so very, very much. <3

3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series?
Ugh, this is another hard one.
1. Stannis. DADDY DIDN'T LOVE ME, EVERYONE LIKES MY BROTHERS MORE THAN ME, WHIINNNNNE.
2. Theon. Actually, he was very well written, but I hated that kid with a passion. I think I liked reading about Joff more than reading Theon chapters. Cersei was fun to watch decline because she had it coming. Theon was just.. an idiot.
3. Robert Arryn. Oh dear lord will that kid just drop dead already. He's creepy, he's bratty, he's screechy, he's got too much of his mother...

4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far?
Viserys's "crowning," Joff's wedding night, and Tywin's last privy break are all tied for first. Basically, when bad men die, I cheer.

5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end?
In the next three years. I don't even presume to guess how it could end at this point, too much is left unknown right now. I can only hope that Dany eventually makes it to Westeros and we eventually see an army of Others and we eventually see Littlefinger's/Varys's Master Plans come to fruition....? That's as much as I got!

Martell. At first I resisted 'cause I thought your general vibe was a bit more quixotic than Dorne but a lot of stuff you have "on paper" just fits, even though some things don't (like I would associate the anxiety with some other house, and I dunno, I just feel something's a bit more ... not whimsical ... but kinda like whimsical ... quixotic, that's the word I used before, I'll stick to that, more quixotic than Martells). But overall it's just the easiest house to fit to your answers.
