How did you find out about the community? If it's through an LJ user, please tell us who it is (individual user if possible, not just a community name!): Initially, I found it through LJ search, when I was looking for ASOIAF related communities, but I have heard good things about the community from many of my friends.

All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
As far as location goes, I like Yorkshire. My ideal house would be located somewhere in countryside, but close enough to a city, as I like shopping and eating out. It would be nice to live next to a big forest or a sea. I think, sea would be especially nice, for some reason I find great affinity with the seas and feel particular free and happy when I can breath sea air.
Good Internet access is a must.
My ideal house would be a detached house , 3-4 bedrooms, with a garden .
2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
1. Good health for my family
2. Good health for me
3. A large sum of money, enough to live comfortably for the rest of my days.
3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
My daughter, because she is lovely.
4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
Most important : Three big ones: Adventure, Knowledge and Family.
Adventure and Knowledge: because life will be deadly boring and decidedly impossible to get through without new adventures and new interesting things to learn.
Family: because it incorporates many things that “money can’t buy” : love, comfort, sense of belonging.
Least important: Money. The best things in life are free, I feel.
5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you
6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
Twice a year, my husband and I calculate our financial budget. But in reality, we are not that prudent. We don’t tend to save money; we tend to spend everything we earn. For me, a person needs enough money to lead a comfortable life, but Money in itself is definitely not the main priority.
7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
I like iceskating (do it at least once a week) and swimming (do it at least once a week).
I am a very good swimmer and enjoy swimming far from the shore on vocations.
I love winter and other wintry pursuits like tobogganing and skiing, I am good at cross-country skiing.
I also like growing houseplants –my house and office are full of them .
8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
I am not afraid of too many thing currently, but I used to be afraid of some things when I was younger :
1. darkness – I stopped being afraid of darkness a long while ago, but I used to be very scared of it when I was a young child. Everything seemed so.. scary in darkness.
2. Spiders – I was afraid of them as a child. I still don’t really find them cute , but I am able to pick one up if I have to. They are just ugly.
3. Snakes – the same. I am not really scared anymore, but I would not keep one as a pet. They seem very dangerous creatures.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
Best:
- I am quite fearless
- I don’t give up
- I am a fast thinker
Worst:
- I am quick to anger
- I was told I am bossy
- I am inclined to be lazy
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Brienne of Tarh – One True Knight. Also because she is the character I identify with the most.
Davos Seaworth - a pirate (I love pirates), a good man and one of the cleverest characters in the series.
Sandor Clegane – I love his honesty, a quality so rare in Westeros, and I find his redemption arc to be incredibly interesting. I generally have a big love for redemption stories, this is something that appeals to me (without fail) in any fiction.
2.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Ramsay Bolton
Wader Frey
Gregor Clegane
All three of them are complete monsters.
3.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
When Bran meets The Three Eyed Crow, Bloodraven, in A Dance with Dragons. I love the magical elements of the series the most (Victarion's dead arm, the dragon horn, the dragons), but in particular I enjoy all the elements of Northern Fairy-tales incorporated in the story (The Others, Northern Gods, etc). Bran's finding greenseers and becoming a greenseer himself was so incredibly fascinating, and his journey there through the territory overrun by The Others was amazingly interesting.
4. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
At this moment of time (I am almost through ADWD ), I want Aegon to be real, I want Dany to find happiness and find her house with the red door. I want some good king to rule the Westeros. I am not sure who yet, but not Dany as the dragons seem to be so not-people-friendly. I want Jon to be alive and don't want him to turn into a half-zombie Azor Ahai. I want Sandor Clegane to kill the Unded!Gregor for real and I want Freys and Ramsay Boltons dead. I want Theon to finish his redemption arc and become the lead of the House Greyjoy, with Asha and Victarion helping him. I want Sansa to become a mistress of Winterfell and marry a nice guy (but NOT a prince because this will be going back to where she started from) who will care for her.

Date: 2011-10-17 07:24 am (UTC)Your dream-world is perfect and yay love for Davos \o/ !! :). Anyway, yeah back to the sorting ^^. It's quite hard in the sense that you are a perfect mix oh what would be if we could take the best out of Greyjoy and the best out of Stark and then we would sprinkle all over some Tully.
But I'll go with Greyjoy because those best/worst qualities scream "we do not sow" to me. Except you're a very starkinian greyjoy ^^. Theon-gone-right.

Date: 2011-10-17 09:04 am (UTC)I got a very Aryaey vibe from this. You emphasise family, family health (pack surives etc) and prioritise adventure/knowledge/family which is very much how I see Arya. It's light on elaboration, and you don't really give us a lot of personal insight in the personal questions, you're very guarded but that again makes me think Arya, who isn't really a big talker and is very guarded as well. You also have a bit of that dreamyness/idealism I associate with some of the Starks (wanting Aegon to be real, wanting Danny to be happy and find her home, wanting resolution for Sandor and for SAnsa to marry a nice guy).
And finally I always see a kind of black and whiteness to Stark apps, and you have it, not just here but in other asoif comms as well. You'd fit in well with the starks here.
Targaryen

Date: 2011-10-17 09:35 am (UTC)Also, your response to the question about money management brought up this very powerful image of Ned and Catelyn discussing the finances of Winterfell. having quiet, rueful chuckles when they discuss some of their more frivolous purchases - I believe that, despite their practical nature, the Starks can and do spend money for fun.
Your obvious pride in your daughter also brought to mind a striking image of Catelyn around her own daughters when they were younger, and while Catelyn wasn't born a Stark, she has quite a few she-Wolf qualities that overshadow the Trout she was born as.
Finally, your favorite characters list and favorite moment in the books really brought home the Stark feel for me. The Starks are kind of the underdog (no pun intended!) Great House in this series, but it's always been clear their members are powerful movers and shakers - or have the potential to be in the future. And yes, Bran meeting the Three-Eyed Crow was one of the most powerful moments in the story - certainly a game-changing one, the way I see it.
Tully

Date: 2011-10-17 12:46 pm (UTC)Stark
Date: 2011-10-17 12:49 pm (UTC)I see the Stark, but I think you'd be better suited in Pike. You sound like a Greyjoy to me. I don't think money means much to them, past the point where they're happy. Knowledge and adventure are both things we see celebrated, and as Lydzi said, a Theon-gone-right.
Yay for Davos, also!

Date: 2011-10-17 01:03 pm (UTC)I had a lot of difficulty with this because I can see you in several different houses. In the end, I'll have to go with Stark, although you have a strong Greyjoy streak as well.
Tully

Date: 2011-10-17 04:34 pm (UTC)And I really think the Queen of Thorns would list Family, Knowledge, and Adventure as her top 3 things out of that list, too. ;)

Date: 2011-10-17 07:28 pm (UTC)Tully
Date: 2011-10-17 07:45 pm (UTC)However, I'm feeling more Tully or Stark when reading your app as a whole. I think STARK edges out Tully a bit, but it's mostly due to all of the winter sports you mention. ;-P
Lannister
Date: 2011-10-17 08:24 pm (UTC)Stark
Date: 2011-10-17 09:24 pm (UTC)1) ranking adventure high (Tully and Stark are probably the two least-adventurous houses, at least IMO)
2) connection with the sea, love of swimming (very Greyjoy to me; for some reason having an affinity with any part of nature seems like something a Greyjoy would say over any of the other great houses)
3) "I am quite fearless" -- again a very Greyjoy thing to say (and just in general it's interesting you've conquered your three biggest childhood fears)
4) attitude toward money -- thinking it unimportant, spending everything that's earned, but still realizing it's necessary to live nicely -- I think this fits the Greyjoy view of money the closest
5) love of pirates ;)
Your quote doesn't fit with a Greyjoy but there's so much else here that does I think I have to sort you there!
