All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
Ideally I'd want to live somewhere peaceful and quiet. I love gardens and huge, tall trees, so ideally there would be some in my neighborhood (and preferably on my property). I'd like a big backyard, but I'm also not the kind of person who wants to live completely out of sight of the nearest neighbor. My house would be a comfortable size, with a spacious kitchen and living room so I could have parties for family and friends and cook everyone big meals. A library/study would also be a necessity.
I would like to be within about an hour or so of a big city so I could be within reach of everything I needed and go have an interesting adventure downtown once in awhile. I want to live somewhere where all four seasons come and go in their turn-- I love snow just as much as I do flowers.
2. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
The first thing I fear is disease, cancer specifically. I've got a terrible family medical history and many of us have died young. I would be a hypochondriac but I hate visiting doctors and hospitals and sometimes when I am in pain I pretend I don't feel it so I can imagine it's not there.
I also fear losing my mind. What I think and feel is who I am. If I lost my memory, or my capacity to reason or to love, I don't know how I could handle it. It would be like disappearing.
Finally, I fear that something horrible will befall my family members and the people I love. I don't think this one needs all that much explaining, really!
3. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
I don't like this question! I can never completely settle on which three I want.
I would first heal my youngest brother. He's pretty severely disabled and he can't walk or talk.
Secondly, I would either ask that the environmental crisis end completely or that we get it drilled into our heads that it's the biggest problem we face and if we can't fix it ourselves the consequences will be disastrous. It's tempting to go with the quick fix of asking it to be magically wiped away. But I do worry that we'll just continue on our destructive path if our mistakes disappear for us.
Thirdly, I'd ask that I have the time and support to pursue the many things I'm interested in. I don't want to have to focus on just one.
4. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
I'm proud of the fact that I have continued to thrive despite the many setbacks I have faced in my life, and the fact that I never give up, ever. I'm proud that I've worked so hard to improve myself and to be a better person, a better friend, a better family member, a better leader. I'm proud of my intellectual accomplishments.
5. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
The most important... I'm finding it hard to choose between Knowledge and Love. I crave knowledge and I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my curiosity and drive to learn. But I also know I couldn't live without love. Not just romantic love (though that's massively important, too) but love for my friends and family and for humanity and general.
The least important is money. I want to be comfortable but I don't need endless wealth and if that was all I had I'd have very little to live for. Material wealth does not make you happy.
6. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
“Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense." -- Winston Churchill
I believe in myself and I stick to my convictions. I will do anything for a cause I believe in. I work hard for what I want and won't take no for an answer. I'm not pigheaded-- if I'm proven wrong I'll back down-- but I am stubborn as hell.
7. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
I try to be careful about money but I never had much of a head for numbers and I am easily tempted by books, movies, and shiny things. I want to be comfortable but I don't need endless wealth, not by any means.
8. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
I love books. Fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, contemporary fiction, nonfiction. I love made-up stories and I love stories about reality. I love the beauty of the written word. I'll read anywhere. When I was little I used to walk around the house doing chores with a book in one hand and bumped into a number of walls that way.
Sometimes I write, but never very well or very often, and I rarely show what I've written to people. (Unless it's an essay for school, and then I have to.)
I love to sit around and talk with friends and family. I like ideas, and I don't mind gossiping either.
I like to cook. I like to feed people.
I enjoy physical activity. I dance salsa for fun. I walk my dog often. I go to the gym to run off stress.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
Best qualities: I'm tough, intelligent, and loyal. Worst qualities: I can be judgmental. I am sometimes impatient. I have a temper.

1.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
I love reading about Dany. She's emotionally very strong and she's a great leader and planner in many ways. She's inspirational. But she's also not perfect. I also enjoy reading about Tyrion-- he's wonderfully wicked in a lot of ways, but he's got a heart of gold, and I think he'd probably be a better ruler than most of the characters in the series judging by how he did as Hand. And I want to know more about Jojen. He's a mystery to me. How does he know what he knows? How does he do what he does?
2.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
The Mountain That Rides made me feel physically ill, for obvious reasons. Lysa Arryn was such a whiner. I kept wanting to tell her to get over Littlefinger already and do her job! Besides that, she damaged her son immensely, maybe beyond repair. Joffrey was a little monster, too. What he did to Sansa and to Ned... ugh.
3.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
This is a tough one. I think it was when the dragons were born. Dany thought she'd lost everything, and was given a reason to hope.
4. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
Mmm, that's hard to answer without reading the rest... I think I would know better how I want it to end after I saw how it DOES end. I think I'd like to see Dany come out on top. And I'd hate to see any more Starks die. Those people have suffered enough.
