Name: Anne-Cara
How did you find out about the community? If it's through an LJ user, please tell us who it is: From Secret 136 in this [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets post.
Age: 22
Location: Philadelphia
Occupation: none! D: I'm one of the many recent college grads struggling to find a job.

All About You

1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
I'm a life-long resident of Philadelphia and I don't want to live anywhere else! I would love to be able to afford to live in a house or condo downtown, with lots of windows and sunlight and a great view of the skyline. Not having a yard doesn't matter to me as long as there's a park nearby. If I had to move out of Philly, I can't see myself living in the suburbs or the country. I'm a city girl - I've never been camping and I don't want to; my requirements for live are sidewalks, streetlights, and public transportation.

2. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
I'm afraid of failure and of disappointing people, which for me are often the same thing.
I'm afraid of heights, to the point where trying to climb up onto a top bunk sends me into an anxiety attack. I've been afraid of heights my entire life, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating.
I'm afraid of physical pain. I don't like it, and it scares me.

3. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
Oooh, this is tough. I think I would wish for:
- enough money to pay off my student loans/my parents' loans for my schooling
- a job in the field of my choice
- an end to my fiance's health problems

4. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
I GRADUATED COLLEGE! It was four hard years at a difficult school, but I got through.

5. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
Family and Friendship tie for most important to me, because once someone is my friend I essentially adopt them as part of my family. I believe in being loyal to those who are "yours," so to speak.
Adventure is the least important - I don't like taking risks and am quite happy with a sedate lifestyle. I'm a big believer in balance.

6. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
Duty is the sublimest word in our language. Do your duty in all things. You cannot do more. You should never hope to do less. - Robert E. Lee

7. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
Money and financial security are very important to me. I manage my money well enough - at least, when I have money I do just fine. Right now, with bills to pay but no income, it's difficult. Under better circumstances, I budget well and try not to by unnecessary things, and try to avoid debt at all costs.

8. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
If there is a baseball game on, I am probably watching it.
I love to sing.
I'm a huge fan of crossword puzzles, cryptograms, and Sudoku. I do puzzles to help me wake up in the morning.

9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
My best/worsts tend to go hand-in-hand:
B1. I'm very loyal. As I said in question five, my friends are my family, and I will jump right into Protector Mode the moment I sense a threat. BUT
W1. I hold grudges on average for seven years, especially relating to slights against my family/friends.

B2. I'm very practical, down-to-earth, and don't believe in mincing words. You can pretty much count on me to tell you if you're about to do something really stupid, or if what you're doing is a really good idea. BUT
W2. Tact and I are only passing acquaintances. Sometimes this means I end up inadvertently hurting my friends.

B3. I'm a really good editor (in fact, I'd like to be one professionally!). If you've got a mistake, I'll find it for you. BUT
W3. Sometimes I have a hard time turning off my editing eye and end up finding the flaws in everything whether I'm looking for them or not. This can make life a little hard.

A Song of Ice and Fire Related

1.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
- Ned Stark won my heart from the get-go with his devotion to duty and honor and Doing the Right Thing.
- Arya also gets love from me for being such a fighter and never giving up, although she's starting to scare me a bit.
- Tyrion's pure pragmatism is great; he's such an intricate character.

(honorable mentions: Jon, Sansa, the Old Bear Mormont, Davos Seaworth)

2.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
- Littlefinger is a big creepster.
- There is nothing much redeemable about The Mountain That Rides.
- Lysa Arryn is crazy. It's as though everything that should be good about her has been inverted or broken.

(honorable mentions: Randyll Tarly, Melisandre, any and all Freys)

3.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
It's hard to choose! I suppose I'd have to settle on Jon Snow's election to Lord Commander. For what seemed like the first time, a group of people actually made the right choice over the easy one.

4. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
Everything after Robert's death was just a nightmare, Ned lives, and they all live happily ever after.

Your best and worst traits section flash Tully in giant blinking neon letters. There's Family Duty Honor just all over this application.

I'm getting Tully vibes (with that quote how could I not?) and some Targ vibes, as well. Yes, Targaryen, especially in the strengths/flaws question (perfectionist nature, grudges, etc.). But with the quote, you using your wishes on family members and your fiance, and your description of why Ned is your favorite characters, Tully is where you belong.

Yeah, pretty much Tully all over. Quote, importance of family, best and worst traits, wishes, book answers -- pretty much everything points that way. *goes in on the carved trout with [profile] shelled_avenger*

Short, sweet and to the point. All the same, this one is definitely waving the red and blue and trout. Tully.

I totally see Tully because you went and listed your quote about duty. Tullys are all about Duty (and also family and honor). There was more than a little bit of Ned up in here too (grudge holding and non-adventure seeking) but Ned lived with a Tully for years and they got on fine. Tully.

I see the Tully, am not entirely satisfied with it...but since I can't say why and don't know anything better, Tully it is.

After the first two answers you seemed like a Lannister to me, but in the end I have to agree with the general opinion that you're a Tully.

Also, as one Ned fan to another, I look forward to seeing you around.

I'll agree that when I got to that quote about duty, I felt that sealed the Tully deal. I think that Riverrun will have that laid-back lifestyle you seek. :)

Martells also care about family and I thought your worst and best qualities would fit a Martell, especially the grudge part.

I was leaning towards Martell for the first part, but your quote cemented you as a Tully. Practical and down-to-earth qualties are so very Tully as well. While Martells are known for their grudges I think Tullys can be quite stubborn as well. You'd fit very well with our house.

LOL...I just went to look at other votes before I posted this. Welcome to Riverrun! We are happy to have you!

I know everyone's saying Tully but I see lots of Stark. Loyalty and duty are things that could go either Stark or Tully. Holding grudges makes me think Martell and Stark. Positive and negative traits could go Stark, Tully, Lannister, or Martell. And your book answers are very Nedly. But alas, I'll be the only one voting this way, I guess.
