All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!
My dream house has always been a castle. Nothing too big, but there is something aesthetically pleasing about castles. And I totally want a castle with personality (I know it sounds odd to say a castle with personality) i.e. Hogwarts. I fell in love with that castle, with the changing staircases and secret passages. I don't want any moving staircases but I would like something with hidden passages, secret rooms and a library big enough to hold all of my books. It would have to have a tower in to use as an observatory with a top of the line telescope. As for the location, I always picture my castle somewhere out of the way in Europe, preferably in Germany. My ancestors came from Germany and I've always had a fascination with it. Plus the history fanatic in me would love to be surrounded by such a rich history. I'd love for it to be surrounded by a forest to see all the leaves changing with the seasons (the downside to living in Texas, no seasons) and be able to walk around the grounds in the shade to avoid sunburn. I also picture the holiday season with actual snow on the ground, lots and lots of it. I can see the inside decorated with the swords and armor I so wish I could afford to own and large prints of some of my favorite fantasy artwork. Of course I'd also have to my entertainment room with a gigantic HDTV and my 360 and my entertainment room would be completely decorate with my Star Wars collection.
2. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
Spiders- I'm seriously afraid of the little buggers. I can't even tolerate the fake ones you see at Halloween. If you want to see me scream like a girl spiders are the way to do it.
Doctors- I'm afraid of doctors because they never seem to know what they are doing and a bad doctor who couldn't correctly treat my grandma's skin cancer that it cost her her life (you don't wait to start chemo/radiation on malignant melanoma until it's already started spreading to other parts of the body). No one in my family has had much luck with them, my dad has almost died a couple of times because his doctors were idiots.
Nursing Homes/Hospitals- They just give me the creeps with the overwhelming presence of death in the air. The only time I can stomach them is when a baby is born in the family.
3. What is your favorite aspect of your physical appearance and why?
My eyes. It's the one thing my mother, grandmother and me had in common. We all have blue eyes and my eyes are the one thing people comment on all the time. Lots of people tell me they wish they had my eyes
4. If you could change one thing about your physical appearance, what would you change and why?
I'd be taller. I hate being so short. I have a hard time seeing the stage at concerts and finding people in crowds is bloody impossible sometimes. Sadly out of my and my 2 sisters I'm the tallest so when we get seperated in crowds being short is an even bigger hassle. I'd also change the shape of my feet because everyone makes fun of them. I will not take my shoes and socks off in front of people I don't know very well. Even my family makes fun of them so exposing them to an outsider is nerve wracking.
5. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
1. I'd wish for my grandma back prior to her cancer. Even though my mom is dead
as well, watching my grandma waste away from something that doctors could have done more for (nothing could have saved my mom except for keeping the drunk who killed her off the road) was the most horrible experience of my life. I was always extremely close to my grandma and even nearly three years later I still wish I could pick up the phone and call her just to hear her voice.
2. That I could have five minutes, unobserved, in a room alone with every sexual predator alive to hand out my own form of justice for their victims. Rapists, pedophiles and the rest would cower in fear when they heard my name.
3. For an affordable car that doesn't run on gas for everyone so we could stop lining the pockets of the oil companies who already have more many than anyone needs and continue to rake in record profits at the expense of the rest of the population. When it's getting close the point where people are going to be choosing between food to eat and gas to get to work it's gone too far.
6. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding.
That I managed to get through the last 12 years relatively sane and didn't turn into a total nutcase after all the crap my family has been through. I had both my mother and grandmother die within a seven year time period (my mother first) while at the same time trying to find myself and coming to grip with what it means to be gay in the south and a very conservative family.
7. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you?
In order from most important to least important
Knowledge- I love history and have this incredible fascination philosophy. I simply love to learn.
Family/Friends go hand in hand to me and comes a close second to my love of knowledge. I love my family because they are my family, even the ones I can barely tolerate and my friends are the family I chose. I would die for either of them and I wouldn't want to be the person who harms my family in any way because the gloves would come off.
Love- While I think romantic is important I think it's more important to love yourself. Not in a narcissistic way but I think that you have to love yourself and be happy with who you are before someone else can truly love you. Love is the most powerful force in the world, it can cause humans to do all sorts of things they wouldn't think they were capable of.
Pleasure- If you don't enjoy what you do then why do it? You can get pleasure out of the simplest things and it's one of the most wonderful feelings in the world.
Adventure- Life can get boring if you don't have some adventure in it. Plus I've always had this desire to be underneath an overpass as a tornado went by the overpass. If that wouldn't be an adventure I don't know what would be.
Money- Yes you need money to survive in this day and age but as long as you have enough to live comfortably that's enough for me. I don't need millions of dollars that I could never spend in my life. As long as I've got food to eat and can still indulge my geeky side with new books, games, movies and collectibles I don't need too much.
8. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values?
- lyrics to M4 Part II by Faunts
9. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you?
I don't really save much of it because I like to indulge myself and those I care about but I do have a nice little nest egg stashed away for someone my age plus my 401k plan at work. Money isn't too terribly important to me as long I have enough to eat, get work, keep clothes on my back, a roof over my head and still indulge in entertainment I'm good.
10. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
Reading- My nose has been a book almost from the the time I learned to read. My friends are afraid that if my apartment complex ever caught on fire my books would cause my apartment to flare up so fast I'd never make it out alive.
Games- I love to play games, board games, card games, video games you name I'll play it at least once.
11. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical).
Best: I'm completely loyal to the people I care about, the causes I support and my favorite brands. I'm intelligent and observant. My brain works overtime to the point that I pick up on the really small things that people overlook. I was one of the people who sat and nit-picked every episode of The X-Files looking for errors (and there were many). I tend to see things in shades of grey, I can see the black and white point of view but I can understand and sympathize with both views in most cases (with some exceptions like being unable to comprehend how you can teach your children to hate) and I form my own opinion which might blend a bit of both.
Worst: My temper. I have a firey temper. It takes a while for me to get really angry but when I do it's not pretty and I stay mad for a long time. I tend to be very stubborn, I will argue about anything. My grandpa used to tell me I'd argue with a brick wall. I'm really bad at housekeeping. I get caught up in other things and let it accumulate until it's an all-day ordeal since my books are piled all around the apartment. If I could I'd pay someone to do it for me just so I wouldn't have to.
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.Which is your favorite book of the series so far? What about your least favorite?
Favorite- Storm of Swords for the Red Wedding (one of the most shocking moments I've ever read) and the final chapter and epilogue. Talk about a serious cliffhanger.
Least Favorite- If I had to choose one it would be Feast for Crows simply because most of the characters I really enjoy reading were no where to be found but it's still far better than some of the other books I've read by others.
2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series?
Dany- She's been my favorite from the first time she appeared. I love the woman she's becoming and that out of all the characters she's the one with the dragons.
Arya- Honestly I love her because her personality reminds me a bit of me when I was younger.
Jon- I'm completely engrossed in his storyline and I want to find out about more about him and see where he's going to go (I'm totally convinced that he is not Ned Stark's bastard)
3. Who are your least favorite three characters in the series?
Cersei- Plain and simple the woman is a bitch who deserves to be killed in the worst way.
Joffery- I can't stand him and I was never more happy to see him die for what he did to Ned and the way he treated Sansa.
Viserys- I wanted him to die from the moment he tried to sell his younger sister like a common whore just to get himself an army. I clapped when he was finally "crowned."
4. #1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far?
The dragons hatching. Not only was it coming at such a heartbreaking time for Dany, but it was the coolest moment of the first book and set the tone for the rest of Dany's storyline. The part where Jon and Robb find the direwolf pups comes in at a close second because of the wonderful foreshadowing on the mothers death.
5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end?
I want to see Dany sitting on the Iron Throne. I think she's probably the only one capable of actually ruling competently.

I
Have wondered about you
Where will you be
When this is through?
If all
If all goes as planned
Will you redeem
My life again?
My life again
Fire the fields the weed is sown
Water down your empty soul
Wake the sea of silent hope
Water down your empty soul
Fight your foes you’re not alone
Holy war is on the phone
Asking to please stay on hold
The bleeding loss of blood runs cold
And I need you to recover
Because I can’t make it on my own
And I need you to recover
Because I can’t make it on my own
I
Have wondered about you
Where will you be
When this is through?
If all
If all goes as planned
