All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!. My ideal home would have a floor to ceiling library with wood finishing. It would be either isolated in the woods or on the coast of an ocean. I would like to have a large room for entertaining guests and plenty of space to keep said guests. I would also like to have dogs in the house so lots of outdoor space to keep them active. I would also like to have a balcony attached to my bedroom, that has a beautiful view. Also I would like a private study, with a giant desk that I can hide away in.
2. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
Spiders. I'm pretty sure that's an irrational fear.
Drowning. Again Irrational, some of my friends who believe in past lives think its because I drowned in one.
Not being able to finish school. Education is the most important thing to me, I need a degree and I'm worried that both financially and intellectually I won't be enough.
3. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Wishing for more wishes is not permitted! I would wish for my research institute. I would wish for a cure for illness, and I would wish for an end to global climate change.
4. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;) I am currently most proud of publishing my research.
5. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Friendship is the most important thing to me and with that loyalty. The least important would be...probably money. I know it makes the world go round and it would be nice to have but there are other things more important.
6. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? "This is either madness or brilliance." "It's remarkable how often those two traits coincide." From Pirates of the Caribbean.
7. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you?Financial security is exceptionally important as it takes money to pay for an education. It is not most important than the quest for knowledge, but I would certainly like to be financially stable. On that note, I tend to save my money, I go out to dinner with friends maybe once a month, I pass up opportunities for concerts so I can save. Typically I have something I want to spend money on but I always ensure that there is an ample amount of savings.
8. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office? I like to write. I used to try for original fiction, even some historical fiction, but that takes quite a bit of timing and planning that I just don't have anymore so I've resorted to fanfiction writing. It's horribly addictive. I love to read as well, basically anything I can get my hands. I'll decide for myself whether the book is bad or not. I love dancing, I studied ballet for close on sixteen years and while I do not do it professionally I do occasionally do it to keep in shape and to release stress.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Possibly my best quality, or so I'm told, is that I'm an excellent listener who always has the right response. For whatever reason people come to me for advice whether it's because I listen to the whole story and then try and offer an unbiased opinion I'm not sure. I'm a dedicated student, I love to learn and I think that that's a large part of why I value education so highly. I'm also exceptionally loyal, I'd be the person you'd want to tell your deepest secret to because I will never breath another word of it again. In terms of the worst qualities, I tend to be abrasive and come off as a cold hearted witch. I don't open up to many people and it takes quite a long time for me to trust someone. I also tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. I will spend all night doing something just to tear it apart and redo again. Lastly, I don't give out to many second chances. I don't do forgive and forget all that well.
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Oh I love Daenerys, she is by far my favorite character. I just love her attitude, the way she speaks, the way she runs her tribe, and of course she has dragons, who wouldn't want a dragon? I also really like Cersei, I know she's pretty much a incestuous whore but she's got balls. She really is trying to do best by her children, just going about it the wrong way. I also love Catelyn Stark, I'm not really sure why I like her, maybe because she has tried to stand by her husband through thick and thin and she is trying to save her children from being corrupted. I just really like her. I was so happy she...well I don't want to spoiler anything.
2.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Lord Petyr Baelish, I just find him...disturbing to put it nicely. He's just...eck. I don't like him. Lord Tywin Lannister, he ordered the murder of children. Enough said. Joffrey Baratheon, I also don't like, mainly because he's a spoiler brat who refuses to listen to reason.
3.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far?
Catelyn being revealed as alive...and the birth of the dragons.
4. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end?
I'm not sure how I would like the series to end. I think I would like to see Daenerys on the throne of the Seven Kingdoms and the world at peace. I would like to see Catelyn reunited with her children.

Targaryen > Haha, all the Perthies have votes.
Date: 2009-06-08 08:15 am (UTC)I'm going with Targaryen, however, I must admit that I felt that you were 'pushing' for it. I almost went with 'no vote'.
I think you are wishing to be able to help people without thinking it through. The cure for all illness is what I mean, so very idealistic.
Also the wish for global climate change also reminds me of Targaryen in the sense that it's something that everyone is saying is the most important thing at the moment and you are championing it. It's also idealistic, and also naive in a way, to wish for that at it's upmost importance. I think. But feel free to argue. ^_^

Yes, I spot a Stark.

Date: 2009-06-08 12:50 pm (UTC)I mean I would love a dragon, but that's just a personal desire. I am quite the fan of dragonheart. A dragon that spoke like Sean Connery, who wouldn't want that?

Date: 2009-06-08 02:50 pm (UTC)Cool, cool. The planet has heated up quite a bit in the past, much hotter then it is now. And I do agree with you it is a huge threat. I just think their are other threats that are harder to get rid of, and in a sense are more important (*gasp*). That said this is no place for these arguements. But your comment does make me feel you have the dragon in you. Sparky.
Stark
Date: 2009-06-08 02:50 pm (UTC)wolvesdogs in the house? I thought you were Stark all over. I did consider Tyrell though because the Reach is the hub of academics in Westeros, but some of your answers (about isolation and no need for money) didn't seem to fit with that.Re: Targaryen > Haha, all the Perthies have votes.
