All About You

1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
My family owns some land in the Apalachian foothills, and I've always wanted to build a log cabin on the side of a mountain overlooking the lake. It's funny, 'cuz I'm so not the outdoors kinda gal, but I really do love it there. It's close to family, there's a history (it's been in the fam for about a century- my greatgreat grandfather came up from Mexico and bought it with the gold he found in the mountains during the gold rush there). When I go there the inspiration it gives me is intense...I could draw forever up there. The log cabin idea comes from my godparents who built there own on a ranch hereabouts - they had a log raising with all the neighbors and everything - which I would love to do. I want a home filled with comfort, love and laughter. I've moved around my whole life (military brat), when I settle down, I want to finally feel at home.

2. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
-Birds- Swear to god. I hate 'em. evil winged messengers of doom! my mum thinks i was traumatized while we were living in Kenya, there's these wretched birds called kites with enormous wingspans that would swoop down and take your stuff (food, toys, small children-i kid).
-zealots- it's one thing to be passionate about what you belive in, but i am terrified of people who attack others for ridiculous differences in faith, morals, ect.
-dissapointing my loved ones- I feel like it's all i ever do, I'm constantly worrying about fraking up again and hurting them.

3. What is your favorite aspect of your physical appearance and why?
my eyes. i love my eyes because the rest of my face is so damn expressive that I would feel so vulnerable about people being able to "read me" all the time, but I've been told that they can't because my eyes tend to confuse people. i've often been told that it's confusing because my eyes are exactly the same as when i was a baby (well, larger...shhh) and there's usually this playful, "i'm up to something, but look at my big bambi eyes instead" look to them...even when I'm not. They often get me into trouble because my parents always thought I was doing something I wasn't supposed to be doing. But they are useful when arguing, I mean cofusion is so the best tactic.

4. If you could change one thing about your physical appearance, what would you change and why?
probably my bushy hermione-esque hair. it really is a love-hate relationship, mostly hate. i seriously frighten people by the way i talk about my hair and how i "fight" with it and it's often "angry" at me. it's so frustrating 'cuz i know it can behave and when it looks good, it looks really good. but when it's bad, oh, it's atrocious.

5. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
i'm not even gonna touch on the biggies like world peace and save the whales, 'cuz i'm gonna pretend you're asking me to be selfish...wish the first-my dad. back. alive. healthy. happy. with us. where he belongs. wish the second-tickets to see RENT before it goes off Broadway. it's so foolish that the whole time i lived in NY i never went...wish the third-for a certain boy who shall remain nameless to friggin ask me out already!

6. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
surviving this past year. the year started with such a shitty bang and i seriuosly didn't think i'd make it to make next birthday. it's not all roses and sunshine now, but i feel like i can keep going...which is a vast improvement from early September.

7. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you?
love and knowledge go hand in hand for me. i can't just choose one. my thirst for knowledge has gotten me into uber trouble in the past and my need to be surrounded by the ones i love equals that. i didn't say family - 'cuz like my stepmum always says "you can't pick your family," and i know now that just because you're related doesn't mean there's any love there.

9. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you?
hehe...what money? i work full time at a min. wage job...but the money i get, i do try and save a little, but i have a lot of bills to pay...and comics to buy...lol. seriously, i like security, that's why i'm waiting and saving before i go back to art school and spend it all.

10. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
Cooking...i know, it's what i do all day at work - but i mean really cooking. i love to bake - i almost went to culinary school to become a pastry chef (i got into the Culinary Institute of America, but i chickened out).
drawing...i sketch everything i can and try and carry a pencil and a pad w/ me everywhere. landscapes are a particular favorite-i love taking something i see in real life and twisting it until its my own. fantasy and scifi elements are what i try and bring to my real life via my drawings.

11. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical).
Best
-I'll fight 'til the very end for those that i love - i'm very loyal and damn proud of it. i will not tolerate anybody being picked on, but if it's one of my own, there's gonna be violence.
-I love to make people laugh. I won't do anything for a joke, but I'm genuinely happy when I know I'm making others happy.
-I'm a really good listener. I'm partially deaf in one ear, so I learned really fast, that if I don't actually pay attention to what is being said around me, very embarassing, bad things can happen. I also love hearing a good story, even if it's from a stranger.
Worst
-I have an awful, short temper. If someone rubs me the wrong way, I've been known to explode, and I don't back down from a fight even when I know I'm gonna lose. I have been working on it, but it's definately an ongoing process. I hate the way my anger controls me and I scare me sometimes.
-I'm defensive and a bit too self aware. I know my flaws, well, and always feel that everyone else can see right through me. I often worry about people judging me based on those flaws. This ties in with the anger thing.
-I'm really overly sensitive to what others are feeling. Sometimes I swear I'm an impath or something...I'm far too easily influenced by how others feel. I often feel like a human mood ring. I just wanna be able to spend time with a person and not have whatever they're feeling be reflected in me.

A Song of Ice and Fire Related

1.Which is your favorite book of the series so far? What about your least favorite?
A Game of Thrones. I love them all, but if it wasn't for my mum getting this one for me when I was sick and stuck at home, I would not know the joy that is A song of Ice and Fire. That book got me through a lot and because of it I instantly bonded with one of my best friends when we first met. This book was also my first foray into mature fantasy...it opened my eyes to so many lovely books. Honestly I can't choose a least favorite...that's just wrong.

2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series?
Arya-she's firey and funny and brave and the perfect heroine. All of her p.o.v's are my fave's to read. I especially love how much she rejects the norm. Rebel Yell!
Bran-when Bran fell I cried and that's when I knew I was hooked. He's so sweet and reminds me of my foster brother so much, I can't help but like him.
Dany-I think it's the idea that Dany survived, through everything that had been thrown at her, she survived and she evolved into such a strong character. I was so dissapointed when I learned I'd have to wait for another book to get back to her p.o.v.

3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series?
Joffery-ugh! that child! he was a disgusting little bugger. every undesireable trait that gets under my skin, that kid posessed. and i know this is awful, but i was so relived when he died.
Viserys-my friend was dating someone who reminded me of him...i think he was a sad character, because he didn't even realize how the rest of the world saw him...pathetic.
Petyr-creep. i'm sorry, i can't even dredge up sympathy for him, the whole stalking one woman, then settling for her sister, only to lust after her daughter is tres eww.

4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far?
Probably when Dany's dragons hatched. The feeling I got was akin to that of how I felt while watching the series finale of Buffy...satisfied. I just though, "okay, here we go. Dany's story starts here."

5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end?
Blasphemy. I don't talk like that. GRRM is a master and I leave that in his capable hands, I hate speculating, it'll only lead to me pulling my hair out. I will be satisfied with whatever happens...as long as Bran doesn't die.
