All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
I would like something modern, with many windows and skylights and interestingly placed staircases. Maybe someplace with a loft or balcony, definitely has to have an accessible attic, even if it's just to store junk in. The layout should be spacious, and colorful, each room should have a different bright color paint job. Perhaps even a theme house. Each room designed for a different character from Firefly. Bedroom done Inara style. One room done for Jane, i.e. lamps that look like guns. Other rooms I am not so sure. the den might have to be Kaylee like and bathroom for Wash, with little dinosaurs everywhere.
2. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
THe dark, but that's kinda like a two-fer with ghosts. In the fact that I do not believe in ghosts until I am alone in my house late at night, and it is dark and i have an overwhelming fear that one is going to pop out at me and something. Mostly just the fear that something/ someone is lurking in the dark.
heights, it's not a real big one, but when on the top of a tall ladder I am always afraid that I'm going to jump off it, I don't know why I just am afraid that I'll think it's a fantastic idea to leap over the side.
death: with uncertain ideas about an afterlife, i try not to think about the possibilities.
3. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
I would wish that at whatever time in my life I needed it, I would be able to find the perfect job for me as in good hours, pay, benefits etc.
The second wish would be that when I chose to I would be able to forsee the outcome of an event/situation.
completely painless childbirth.
4. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
Well I can't divulge details for obvious reasons, but the work I did with my first client as a social worker and the breakthrough that came out of it.
5. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you?
Friends and Love might tie, especially since my love started as a friend. My friends for me are closer than my family.
6. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values?
"When the master accomplishes something, the people say, Look at the wonderful thing we have accomplished"- Tao-Te-Ching, that's not the exact phrasing, but i don't have it near me.
7. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you?
I do okay I guess, I like to store up, keep a few hundred in checking, got a few thou in savings. Not making a lot of money so I want it to last until after I graduate.
8. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
I like reading, drawing, roleplaying, I like comics too, reading them, writing them, drawing them.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical).
Best:
Patient: This applies to me being with people, I can wait out almost anything for people, whether it is them being annoying, or them keeping a secret. It'll come eventually, I don't mind waiting.
creative: I have lot's of creative projects, I'm always designing some story or picture in my head, only a few ever get down on paper.
easy-going: It is very hard to get me upset or offended, I am even jovial when it comes to TMI situations, although I will tell you.
Worst:
anxiety: I am an anxious person, it encompasses a lot of my life at times, although some times are worse than others. I am a worrier, I worry about grades, my future, whether people like me or dislike me, that i did something wrong somewhere, whether I have enough money...etc... I've gotten better, but it comes out in other ways, as my dentist will tell you as she looks down at my poor ground down teeth.
unobservant: Sometimes people will come up to me, and seem to know my name and life story and for the life of me, I can't tell you their name or even where they know me from. I am also the last to notice changes in my surroundings.
weak willed when chocolate or sex is concerned: This is partly a joke, but partly true. I am not much of a stickler when it comes to abstaining from the two of these. I must have gained ten pounds from chocolate based foods and it is the bane of diets. As far as sex is concerned, well I'm not "easy", but if my boyfriend called and was offering, not matter where I was or what I was doing, I would be over there in a heartbeat.
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.Who are your favorite three characters in the series?
1) Petyr Baelish: I am a fan of trickster/schemer characters. The fact that he seems to be responsible for everything, the death of Jon Arryn, bankruptcy of the kingdom, release of Sansa, yet never seems to lift a finger makes him awesome in my eyes.
2) Brienne: She is strong, and sympathetic. She is a true believer in what she does. She is also realistic, she knows she isn't pretty and is not going to pretend to by. I feel for her, because she would love to be the womanly ideal and she has been played by so many of the men in her life, but she works with what she has and becomes her own ideal instead of cursing others for not living up to her expectations.
3) Sansa Stark as Alayne: In contrast to Arya, Sansa can take on roles and slide into them easily, she fits so comfortably as Alayne that she even refers to Petyr in her head as father. She seems more comfortable in the role than as Sansa, she also is showing that she is intelligent and cunning, and most of all caring. Her treatment of little Robert really endeared her to my heart.
2.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series?
1) Ygritte: She seemed flat as a character, all she did was talk about how free she was, reprimand Jon Snow, and then die.
2) Ned Stark: He was a good guy, but startlingly stupid. "Too noble to live", I mean when you suspect someone of treason and suspect they killed the last person that found it, the first thing you do is not confront them and warn them.
3) Randyll Tarly: He is just overall a terrible person. He is never doing anything positive, whether it's menacing and tormenting his first born son or telling Brienne that if she gets raped it's her own damn fault. All in all anytime he shows up it makes me cringe. Too narrowminded and cruel.
3.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far?
hmm, that's hard, I have to say the time that Cersei got drunk during Stannis's attack on king's landing and told Sansa that she wished she was a man and that she hated everyone at the feast.
second place is the Oberyn/Mountain fight.
4. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end?
Un-Cat rips Petyr Baelish's face off after he "wins" whatever the hell that means for him.
