Rules for resorting:
Please sort by Friday at 12:01 AM EST (Midnight on Thursday). A reminder will be posted.

Remember to put your capitalized house name in brackets in the subject line and bold your vote. If the subject line is not available, please bold your house name as well and put it at the top of your comment (e.g. [YOUR HOUSE]). Fosters of Game 8 should now vote from their original house.

You will earn the regular 5 points for sorting, to be applied to your totals for the first batch of Game Nine.

This user will remain anonymous until s/he is sorted. If you know who this person is, please don't go announcing it, as we want to have other members be as unbiased as possible.

If you are one of the applicants being resorted, do not vote on any of them as it will create confusion as to where the points should go.

All About You

1. Describe your ideal house/home.  Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.

It would be a big, old-fashioned mansion, something like British country houses where nobility would gather for a nice dinner (with the inevitable murder). It would have a huge garden, left a bit wild-looking on purpose, a lake big enough for boating, and a few Victorian ghosts. I'd keep horses because I love riding, and a few Shetland ponies just to pet them because they're friggin' adorable. The house would have a big library with a fireplace and some comfy chairs. The style in general would be 19th century. I'd love some inlaid furniture and cute old-fashioned things like a gramophone. I'd buy some prints of my favourite paintings (mostly Klimt).
There would also be a TARDIS door somewhere in the house. The kitchen would need to be big and comfortable, with a lot of place for work and a nice furnace for heating/making bread.
My bedroom would have a big four-post bed and not too much other furniture - it's for sleeping only. There should also be French windows leading into the garden. The wardrobe (and that would have to be huge) could open from the bedroom.
I'd have a working room for the computer and various fandom relics.
There would be a nice big dining room, a smaller one for cozy tea parties and a winter garden. Also some guest bedrooms and living rooms, I don't have much concept of the furniture here but it would go with the rest in style.
There would be central heating for most of the rooms, but well hidden, and definitely some heating in the floor. Barefoot on warm floor = win.

2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes.  What would you wish for?  Please be as elaborate as you can.  Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!

1. Enough money so I would never have to work for the rest of my life and I could live in luxury.
2. Perfect health.
3. Look forever young.

3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of?  Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)

I learned to drive. Never thought I would. Still hate it tho.

4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure?  Which is the least important to you?  Please explain why for each choice.

Adventure - normal life is boring and ordinary people annoy me. I want to travel and see the world.
Pleasure - meh. I guess I'm asexual. I'm content with only fangirling and shipping.

5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values?  Explain.

Pass. I've never been one for these. Using quotes for everything are for people with little imagination of their own.

6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.

I only spent when I need a thing, I don't buy on a whim. And I don't have expensive bad habits. Financial security is the most important thing. I want to be safe and be able to tell everyone I don't like to go to hell.

7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies.  What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?

Other than riding and writing, I mostly just hang on Tumblr and/or RP and have creys over my favourite characters (angels, hunters and a sassy British demon).
As for writing, I'm working on two books and often write oneshot fics, in which one or more characters die tragically and there is a lot of gay.

8. Name three things you are afraid of.  Explain.

Spiders. What were the gods thinking when they created those abominations? They need to die. I am leading a crusade.
Fire/acid/anything that burns. Doesn't need explaining.
Disfigurement. It just makes my skin crawl. Always avoiding those kinds of horror movies. I'm fine with the Hound though, I got used to him.

9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical).  Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.

Best:
1. I have a big heart and I sympethize easily. I'm also willing to help, even when I don't have much money. Unless a jerk gets in trouble, because then life just served them their just desserts.
2. I'm extremely liberal and tolerant and willing to kick when someone isn't. Injustice of any kind? At arms! To the barricade!
3. I have a lot of imagination and musical talent.

Worst:
1. Temper. I have zero patience for things/people who annoy me and I will curse even at minor things. I'm an F-bomb.
2. I lie to people who are unimportant to me, often just for fun/trolling.
3. I'm lazy and not even ashamed for it. Cleaning? Only when I start to sneeze from the dust.

I hate this question even on interviews, so don't expect me to elaborate any further. I had a hard time to even make this list.

A Song of Ice and Fire Related

1.How many books from the series have you completed? All of them.

2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series?  Why?

Stannis, because he has the qualities I expect from a king. He's a just man and unlike what people who read selectively think, he's not Melisandre's puppet, nor is he unforgiving or stupid. He's experienced in battle, knows how to fix the economy, has plans, listens to wise advice (Davos, Jon), and he doesn't care about people's birth, only their talent and loyalty. He could bring peace and order to Westeros after the war. And then, of course, there's his sarcasm.

Jaime, because despite all his flaws, he's still one of the few characters who try to do something good. He's very dynamic and complicated, one of the most complex characters in the books. And I like his sass. He's like a mix of Han Solo and Captain Jack Harkness. He won me over the minute he became a POV. I only blame him for the Bran incident because Bran's chapters make me sleep. And he was damn right to kill Aerys. Hope he'll also be known as the Queenslayer as of last book.

Mance Rayder, because he earned his kingship with cunning and competence. He's smart, a bit of a trickster (and I love trickster characters), brave and a poet. Hits multiple "aww yiss" points. Hope he won't die.

3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series?  Why?

Ramsay Bolton. Other "villains" are usually three-dimensional and somewhat understandable, but he's just a Complete Monster and nothing else. He's also creepy as fuck. Straight out of the Marquis' books. Hope he'll get some nasty, slow death.

Dany. I used to root for her, but after the boredom that was ADWD, I just want her to stay away from Westeros and preferably have as few chaptrs as possible. She's also totally incompetent as a ruler. And then there's Daario. WTF Dany. After a Khal Drogo? Look at your life, look at your choices. And locking up the poor dragons. Bad Dany.

Pycelle. He should have been killed off in ACOK, no one would have missed him. He's basically Polonius, and although he's good for comic relief, he's a really mean, slimy little sonofabitch. Four for you, Varys!

4. #1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far?  Why? Manderly's Very Special Pies. It was just pure awesome.

5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?

The Others defeated at great cost. Stannis on the Iron Throne, Davos as his Hand, Asha as his ally on Pyke, all the slave cities burned to the ground, Dany either dead or staying on Essos, Jon alive and still LC (even if R+L=J, he wouldn't care because he belongs to the North), SanSan together (a girl can dream), Arya reunited with her family and becoming a professional assassin or general HBIC. Theon could get a Redemption Equals Death (feels!),  Jaime preferably alive and maybe in exile, where he could bring Tommen and Brienne. Varys surviving everything. Petyr killed by Sansa, Sandor or UnCat. Sandor defeating UnGregor. Jorah dying in battle or defending Dany because poor bear needs to go out like a knight. Trystane and Myrcella ruling Dorne. (Screw Maggy.) Edmure again Lord Paramount of the Riverlands, now wiser and less stupid. Fat Walda surviving because she's adorable. Howland Reed coming out and telling us his secrets. All Greyjoy uncles dying violent (but epic) deaths. Roose being killed by Barbrey because reasons, maybe in a Marat/Corday manner. Mance preferably alive and  still king, more or less in a general "we ignore each other" agreement with Stannis, but friends with the NW because they are not meant to be enemies. Tycho as Master of Coin because he's a professional. Melisandre preferably dead so there would be no religion issues. Barristan heroically dying sword in hand, among dozens of slain foes. Loras becoming a BAMF and a less pretty, but much wiser warrior. Tyrion? I don't care. He just bores me lately.

Even though you ranked pleasure last, I see Martell in your Enjolras view of politics & your passionate attitude. And props for adorable, not dead!Walda at the end of the series (Walda will be Queen in the North!) and that very appealing end for Roose. :)

I was very tempted to say Tyrell, but I don't think you're quite that florid or lavish.

So, Lannister.

Mm yeah, going to go with the crowd and Lannister you. Your best and worst qualitites fit and maybe you're the Gerion type who likes adventure. Plus, you're trying really, really hard to stand out with this app, and that generally screams of a "HEAR ME ROAR, NOTICE MEH!" kinda thing to me, so off to Casterly Rock you go, lion!

Martell, Greyjoy or Targaryen come to mind for adventure and some of the attitude in 5 and elsewhere fits nicely enough. You seem very "Your way or the highway" about your answers and I associate that with Martell and Greyjoy not bowing or sowing. Targs also want to rule, so seem unlikely to care much for "mundanes" or their opinions.

You say you have a big heart and that you're liberal + tolerant, ergo, Martell and Targaryen more than the rest. Temper is Targ and Martells seem to have some of it as well as some Starks. Admitting to lying never comes off well, whatever the circumstances. The characters you like seem more the kind that even a Wildling might like, too, so for lack of a Wildling house the Martell, Greyjoy, Targaryen or some Starks again surface. Very Stannis Baratheon in some ways, but as a Wildling or Martell sort.

Being against injustice really isn't a core Lannister trait, so the Targ comes in a little more there, but Martell at the moment still seems best. I'll come back and see what I feel on a reread later but I don't see Lannister as a suitable fit at all with the adventure, temper and liberal side or being so bent on helping and hell-bent against injustice. Those are the things you actually seem to value.

Honestly, if this wasn't a resort I would no vote you based on this app. I couldn't get a feel for you but also, many of your answers were just...too short. I guess I see some of the Tyrell others have mentioned, and I see a bit of Targ as well (but the opposite of Dany-style Targ). In the end I suppose I think that Lannister would fit you best, though.

Hmm...it was hard to get a read on this one. Even after two re-reads, neither Lannister nor Martell seems like quite the perfect fit - there are definitely aspects of both. The best/worst makes me think Martell, the fear of disfigurement brings to mind Lannisters (as does the mention of finances and some of the wishes)...it's really hard because of the brevity and things like lack of quotes, because while you may dislike quotes they can be helpful for this.

In the end, I guess I'll say Martell. Also, I like giant sections of your ending (and yes, screw Maggy. Trystane + Myrcella in Dorne and Jaime + Brienne in the Free Cities caring for Tommen and a passel of kittens...now I want fluff.)

Blah, I can't really decide between Lannister, Martell & Tyrell. If you didn't seem to want to live in luxury and be close to the finer things, I'd totally sort you Greyjoy. (Not that I don't think Greyjoy is anti-bling, but I don't think they'd care about Klimt/Shakespeare/etc like other houses might.) I guess I'll say TYRELL, b/c they seem like they'd be into tea parties and lying to those that don't matter to them.

(And if this is who I think it is, I think I sorted you Tyrell the first time around, too! XD )

Honestly, I saw a lot of Greyjoy in your answers (or refusal to do so) - it felt very 'we do not sow' to me. But your wishes and your best/worst traits don't really fit with the Pyke mentality, so that eliminates that.

I'm seeing where the Lannister and Tyrell votes are coming from, but I don't know, you don't seem manipulative enough for Highgarden or antagonistic enough for Casterly Rock.

So I'm going to go with Martell - unbowed, unbent, unbroken for you!
