How did you find out about the community? If it's through an LJ user, please tell us who it is (individual user if possible, not just a community name!): Some user whose name I cant recall commented about the application on an ONTD post featuring the new GoT trailer.
Age:19
Location: I'm on vacation, traveling and for now it's THE driest desert in the whole freaking world (Atacama desert) , the amazing thing about this place is the night sky, you can see the stars so clearly. I should say that I feel like I’m in Dorne right now lol.
Occupation: I study to become a dentist and I'm pretty sure I signed over the rights to having free time/ a life on my University contract.
All About You
FYI english is not my first language so I apologize for any mistakes.
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
A big two floor house with a combination of wooden archs and structures, with big windows sounds perfect. Where? on a forest like urban area, not an actual forest but a place with lots of pine trees and...well I hope you get the idea, translating tree names is not something I'm going to do right now. Oh yeah by the way, horseback riding is my passion so a place where I can do that is a must, hell...why not my backyard, a girl can dream.
2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
First wish would be to have my own billion dollar company, that way my family and I can forget about money issues for good. Wish number 2, to have the ability of teletransportation (nightcrawler style), having family scattered all around the world is not easy, plus I travel a lot that would make my life easier. My final wish would be to find my other half/soul mate/prince charming...you name it.
3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
I'm proud of the fact that I was able to enroll on the university I wanted, when I wanted and to study what I wanted with a scholarship (yeah there's a lot of I's and wanteds but deal with it) and that I was the only first year invited to join the University's female soccer team and win some tournaments, which led to my "adoption" by older students that continue to help me even now and it sort of made me a popular newbie, not something that happened in school.
4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
The most important thing has to be knowledge, it's a fact that knowledge is power and its the tool to get to where you want, it opens so many doors in life, I mean what good is Money if you dont know how to spend it wisely? As for pleasure I think that it is easy to find, there are so many sources that unless you want to be miserable, there is always something that can bring you joy and pleasure, its a matter of knowing where to look, for example the company of family and friends (although sometimes that can be more of a problem, maybe I’m crazy because I enjoy a good argument in a way, or winning one for that matter). Out of the lot Adventure has to be the least important, I like it but I can certainly live without it if I have to choose.
5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
Certain parts of the song Iron by Woodkid reflect what I feel now at this particular time and stage in my life. Im away from my home most of the year because of my studies. Remember I said my family was scattered around the world? Well I mean it, my parents and their respective families are from different countries, both sides left said countries and ended up on the one in which I was born and raised until everything went to hell, my parents got divorced and I ended up moving from one country to another, as if moving once a year during my school years wasn't enough (my record was 4 years in the same school).
So I dont always know if what I do is right and my problems and choices are my own to deal with (I'm pretty indepentent), but once I decide to do something, I'll see it through till the end, I'm ashamed and filled with regret over some of the decisions I've made but life is a bitch and the you die, so if I screw up once I'll make sure to learn from my mistakes and I'll keep working to fullfill my goals and to get to where I want in life.
6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
Money get back! (Pink floyd song comes to mind lol, I cant help it) Now seriously I manage mine pretty good and efficiently, I have saved a good amount despite the fact that my career is so fucking expensive and so are my tastes, but thankfully I'm not alone, my family helps me partially with these expenses, but making sure the money I have earned is put to good use is even better.
7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
Like I said before horseback riding (showjumping in particular) is my passion and it's not just my hobby, in my case it’s therapy (bye bye stress and urge to kill the idiots that plague this planet) I always feel great after doing it, plus it helps to clear my head and stay in shape, I've always been an active person (hyperactive as a kid) and I've been doing this since I was 4 (not an exaggeration).
I also read a lot, a habit I picked up very young, give me a National geographic magazine, a book, a comic, you name it and I will be happy. Let’s not forget the internet, I read so much random stuff, I can spend so many hours on wikipedia or other sites just for the fun of it. But TV and movies also have a spot in my heart, I love watching movies and TV series, an ideal weekend for me can be to sit on a couch and watch the 7 seasons of House or watch the latest movies.
I'm also a gamer girl that enjoys shooting people online, of course mindless shooting is not the only genre I like, there’s also Tomb raider, Zelda, the Assassin’s Creed series, Skyrim, Resident evil and others. (My first console was a Play station 1, in case you’re wondering).
8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
Thankfully I dont recall experiencing paralyzing fear ever so its hard for me to think of something that scares me, other than perhaps the death of someone dear to me, but I can say that I’m not very fond of dark basements and corridors …sometimes places like that make me want to run for my life, as if I was 5 again and monsters lived under my bed. Cementeries make me extremely anxious and uneasy, unfortunately I have visited a few and there is only one conclution, I dont like them at all, and I couldnt possibly live near one. Once I dreamed that I burned to death, we tend to forget dreams but this one is unfortunately stuck in my memory, and thinking about dying like that does give me the creeps.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
I see my being extremely independent as a good quality, I dont need the approval of others on everything I do, much less give explanations and most of the time the best team consists of me, myself and I, I'm not much of a team player. I can manage living on my own just fine.
Another quality I see as a good thing is my ambition, I know what I want to do with my life, I want to be successful and since I dont believe things just magically happen, I’m going to work to get there. Last but not least there’s the fact that I’m a very adaptable person, that helps me to make the best out of every situtation I find myself in.
As for the bad qualities, the first thing that comes to mind is that I’m not a very good listener, which leads to bad quality number 2… I’m too stubborn for my own good sometimes. Those two qualities combined usually translate as good advice completely disregarded and oops I screwed up because I didnt listen. The final bad quality has to be that I can be a little bit obssesive with organizing my stuff or a project, details... there are times when I call it being a perfectionist but others call it obssession, maybe they're right, sometimes I just cant let go and that applies to arguments as well.
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.How many books from the series have you completed?
All of them.
2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
I like Stannis, honestly I'm not sure I can explain why, I just like him, he's a very flawed character with, I guess you could say a double standard when it comes to what he says other must do and what he does in the end, but he's unintentionally hilarious and that gives him a lot of points.
Now this list has to include Davos, he remains loyal to his King even after losing several of his sons, fingers and almost losing his head for his cause, he also proves that highborn nobles dont know it all and I like the fact he remains a humble person, even with all his new titles.
It’s hard to choose 3 favorites when we have so many amazing characters, but it must be done, so the final spot is for Arya, nobody meses with Arya or else she’ll add you to her list, she is a survivior and tough as nails, maybe she’s going down a dark path but still, I love her, the good thing is that she is a girl yes, but not a victim.
3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Where do I begin…oh that’s easy, with Joffrey!(although Ramsay Bolton is on the list as well) That annoying and spoiled brat, I can’t stand kids who think that they can do whatever they want and parents that indulge them and Joffrey just reminded me of that every time, whats worse he was more than a spoiled bully, he was King and as such he could get away with all that BS.
Ned Stark is on my shitlist because in my opinion his determination to act honorably ruined him and his family in the end, he put his honor ahead of his own family, instead of doing what had to be done to ensure their well being on the long run, Ned failed where Cersei succeded, at least to some extent.
Finally there’s Daenerys simply because I had such high hopes for her, I mean she has the dragons on her side, went from being a scared child to khaleesi in her own right and even though she’s filled with good intentions , she has made some unwise decisions, ultimately losing sight of her initial objective, I believe she had been wasting her time and resources on a lost cause, damn it why is it that she didn't listen to Ser Grandfather!
4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
Dany’s final chapter, it gives me hope that maybe she will get back on track (and thus she will become what I thought she would when I read the first book) and finally the dragons will play an important role, not just that of pets on the pit. I really really want her to lead her army across to Westeros with her dragons, creatures that many consider simple legends, so when one legend comes to life I’m pretty sure people are going to start wandering what else have they forgotten (like the others…). If she arrives to westeros she could set in motion so many things , she can change everything over there (I imagine that neither Varys nor Littlefinger have made plans that include Dany’s dragons)
5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
Basically my happy fairy tale ending can be one out of two scenarios(probably Troll Martin is going to kill every single lovable character left but hey you asked me so…) I have imagined at least two scenarios both are a little bit too optimistic I think but what the hell , so here we go:
For some reason in one of them I envision the seven kingdoms as seven kingdoms once again, with Tyrion ruling Casterly rock (Cersei locked away for ever), some Tyrell in Highgarden, Doran or Arianne in Dorne as always, Asha on Pyke (and Euron burning in one of the seven hells , also peace and a Little bit of reckognition for Theon after he dies fighting with Ramsay or something along those lines, I dont hate him but I see him dying at some point, a death to redeem him if that makes sense), Sansa or Rickon ruling the North, Stannis in Storm’s End and Dany sitting on the Iron throne oh and I would like to see Jon survive to rebuild the NW together with the wildlings and the gigants , while he kicks some Others in the process with the help of certain dragons and co. Now if Dany decides to stay on the other side of the pond, let her be and put Stannis on the throne, that would b escenario number 2 simple as that. By the way in both cases I want a Melisandre-free Stannis, and for Arya to get her revenge.
I know I failed to mention the ending for many other characters but that's mainly what I would like to see.

You actually seem very Doran-ish to me and when I looked up the lyrics of that song you mentioned in the quote question...the lyrics just SCREAMED Doran Martell. That said, I *think* you're allowed to edit your app? You may want to check the rules but if so I do suggest adding some of the lyrics to that song to the quote answer because not everyone will go look it up, I think.
