All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
Uhm. I'd like to move back to my grandparents' house one day, even if it's difficult at the moment. It's a two-storey house next to the sea, in a little village in the very south of Italy. I'm afraid of heights and I wouldn't like to live on a upper floor. Inside, I prefer soft and bright colours such as yellow and cream. Wood for the fornitures, possibly, ash or cherry. Everything should be practical and comfortable, with little frills. Large bookcases: I own a lot of books. A large table for drawing, or better, a room only to be used as studio, with drawing table, canvases, easel, etc. There should be written in the rules that I'm allowed to stain the furniture and the walls. I'm not keen on home chores, so my house is likely to become quite dusty. I'd like to make collages of postcards to decorate the walls and to finally hang up all the posters I've bought and which still linger flat in my room. I want my bathroom to be full of soaps, creams, perfumes, shampooes etc. The bathroom should have green tiles with golden flickers inside, like the ones of the toilets in my favourite cinema. The house should have solar panels and be able to produce its own electricity. Windows should have double glazing and in general everything should follow eco-sustainable rules.
2. Imagine you're given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
1. I'd wish never to suffer from psychological problems again. I suffer from OCD and it's not lovely. 2. I'd wish for the planet to survive a little longer in peace. 3. I'd wish for one of my paintings and/or stories to become famous for centuries of centuries.
3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
I have sketched down all the first part of my own fantasy saga, Asanor. I have completed my PhD. I've been able to survive through a most difficult period. I've understood many things about myself.
4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
I'd say that knowledge, friendship and family are the most important. I'd link love with friendship and family, also because my love life is rather sad at the moment. Knowledge is love and thirst for something else. Adventure… mmh, we have books for that. In real life I'm very quiet. That would be my least important.
5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
Uuh, this was a tough one. In the end, I've chosen this famous passage from Jane Eyre: "Do you think I can stay to become nothing to you? Do you think I am an automaton?—a machine without feelings? and can bear to have my morsel of bread snatched from my lips, and my drop of living water dashed from my cup? Do you think because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I “am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!—I have as much soul as you, and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you. I am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh: it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God's feet, equal—as we are!” I suppose it is the call at value and equality which appeals to me here - both if I figure myself in Jane’s position, or if I consider it from the point of view of human rights in general.
6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
I was lucky enough to be born in a family without financial problems without being extremely wealthy either. I never really had to worry about money. I'm known to be quite generous, but I never had to borrow money or finished the ones that I had with me.
7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
Drawing is my job now. I draw also outside my job. Sometimes I tell myself I should draw my own characters more often than I draw fanarts. I spend time on the internet, I read, I go to the cinema (sometimes.) Sometimes I write.
8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
Balconies (I fear about throwing myself from them, hello OCD.) Illnesses (I'm pretty hypochondriac as well.) Being alone in the night in a road I don't know. (I've done that, and I scared my pants off!)
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
I'm well-educated and I consider myself a cultivate person. I value my culture and the knowledge I've been able to learn through the years. I also consider myself clever, but possibly I'm more bookish than ingenious. Oh, see how modest I can also be.
I'm loyal to my friends and love some of them as if they were of my own blood. I still have a bunch of friends from my childhood I hung with in summers.
I'm generally a person which can be counted upon to get a work done. I have sense of duty and feel guilty when I can't manage to do a task I was ordered to do. I’m prone to obey when I recognise an authority above me. I want to keep up the expectations people have on me.
I procrastinate a lot – especially when I am at home with a computer on. I wish I could save more time to write/draw my own stories instead of wasting time surfing the net. I blame myself for the time I waste.
I'm apparently unable to find a boyfriend. I don't know if you would call it a bad quality, but surely there is a fault of communication on my part. Probably… social awkwardness? Low self-esteem as far as relationships are involved? In any case, my mistakes on this behalf are among the greatest regrets in my life.
This is not something I do consciously… but probably, from the outside, I can seem cold and detached. I need time to make friends, I’m not a socialite, and I think some people believe it's haughtiness. Or indifference. In fact, I keep a lot of things inside until I think I am authorised to express myself. I can be very funny and warm with people I know and trust. But maybe from the outside I seem cold, boring, and dry.

1.How many books from the series have you completed?
I’ve finished Dance last week! I haven’t read the Dunk&Egg stories though.
2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Well, Theon right now, because in ADwD he's simply awesome. Jaime. Cersei. I love all the Lannister family, but since Tyrion is quite boring in Dance, I’d mention only his brothers. I love well-written characters and these three are the ones I've drawn the most so far. They give me vibes. They're complex. And they play the game.
3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Arya. I hate her. She’s improbable, no highborn child would behave as her. Her chapters are really the only ones which make me wonder if Martin knows what he's writing about. Daenerys lost her charm after AgoT and I hope she'll never sit on the Iron Throne. Bran is just boring for me. I would do without all their chapters. As you can see, I've talked about the POVs value. I hardly care for a character’s 'morality' when valuing them as characters. They are not real people.
4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
Uhm, I guess that Jaime saving Brienne from the bear pit is closely followed by Theon escorting Jeyne to her wedding at the moment.
5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
Dream-world? Meaning something Martin will never do? Jaime would sit on the Iron Throne in the end, while Tommen is educated to become a real, good king afterwards. Daenerys dies, Arya dies atrociously, Sansa re-builds Winterfell and lives there with Sandor, Theon, Jeyne Poole and Jeyne Westerling. We will discover that Jon is really Ned's son from a fisherwoman. We will also discover that Margaery is a bitch and she will have her moment of crazyness before being chased down. Varys and Littlefinger will have epic duels of chessmastery before finding their ends. I'd love that everything will finish on a political note and not on a supernatural note. I'm not interested in dragons and Others, I want the game of thrones played with schemes and cunning.
