All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
Well, I'd like my home to be in a very quiet place with a nice garden for my dogs and for myself. However, I'd like it to be not too far from town and or from the place I work (spending lots of time in public transport is no fun... and I know what I'm talking about ;D)
I'd like my house to be not too small but not too big either. There would be a big library with all the books I've read and the ones I plan to read. It would be homey and comfortable. I'd also like to have a nice view ;D
2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
Wish 1: I'd like my mother's health to improve... She's got a brain tumor and... well. I think that if I even had only one wish, it would be for her.
Wish 2: Money... so I could travel all around the world, with my mum, or with a friend, or on my own.
Wish 3: I'd like to find true love (now THAT sounded very Sansa-like didn't it? XD)
3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
I haven't done anything yet I can really be proud of... I got my teacher's degree not a long time ago... But it's true I'm very proud when my students show me they understood well the lesson. Then, I'm very proud and very glad.
4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
I think Family should come first... Maybe it's because I'm from a very small family, but I do believe helping the members of your family, loving them, comforting them when they need it, is very important.
Second, I'd say friendship. I never had lots of friends and god knows I missed it. Now, I'm starting to get a few and i think it's wonderful. To have someone to talk to, to share with, to travel with, ... It's fantastic, really.
Third, I'd say knowledge. But it must be because I'm a teacher and I value knowledge very highly XD
Fourth, love :D What would we be without it.... It doesn't have to be romantic love: brotherly love, friendly love, love for music, for arts, for books, (for lemon cakes XD) ... Everything is love ;D
Fifth, money... because, whether we like it or not, we can't do a lot without it...
Sixth, pleasure... I do enjoy a chocolate cake from time to time XD
And last, adventure.... I'm not an adventuress... The unexpected terrifies me.
5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin
again, this time more intelligently.
-- Henry Ford
I’ve had
failures- lots of- and every time, they taught me something. Of course, for a
moment, I was depressed, but I never lost hope. I’ve always analyzed my past mistakes;
try to see where it went wrong. I think it’s one of my values: hope, perseverance.
6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you?
I don't manage it very well... But I try, I swear I do! I just like shopping too much, I guess.
Financial security is very important as money allows you to pay your bills, eat as many ice creams as you wish or go on holidays during summer.
7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
Reading: whenever I open a book, it allows me to escape the daily routine or Belgium's rainy weather. It's like a bit of fresh air in my sometimes dull life, a bit of freedom and adventure... without taking any risk XD
Travelling: I love travelling, visiting different countries, different cities- visit their museums (mostly ;D), taste their food, ... and enjoy all those new things with a friend or with a memeber of my family.
8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
Snakes: Don't ask me why, really... I love lots of different animals, and it seems that they love me in return (I have 3 dogs, two cats and one duck) but snakes just terrify me :S... Nope, I'm no Martell XD (that's a shame, because they're pretty badass)
Being late: I blame my old fashioned education really but my grandmother always taught me it was extreemly rude to be late. even if I always apologize whenever it happens, I feel very embarrassed.
Claustrophobia: Whenever I'm in a room that's too small for too long, I feel really bad... like I can't breath anymoe.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
Good
Loyal: I'm loyal to my friends, my family. I think it's a very important quality. Slyness and dishonesty are the worst thing ever, as far as I am concerned
Outgoing: For someone who used to be bullied in high school, I'm rather sociable. I love to laugh and make new friends (as I didn't have any before anyway XD).
Inquisitive: I'm very curious and willing to discover new things... I guess that's why I love travelling so much!
Bad:
Workaholic: It's not really that i am a workaholic, it's more that I love my job and that I find pleasure in doing it and in always trying to improve my lessons so my students will like them.
sensitive: Way too much! Growing up, I was quite bullied by the other kids at school so I created a sort of schield... now, as I try and become friendlier, I just let the schield go away... but then, some people's word hurt me like they never did before...
Nervous: Very nervous, indeed! Oral exams were the WORST. I'm still very nervous when I have an important appointment or when I have to meet my students for the first time. My friends tell me it's because I want to do too well... So I guess, we can add too my worst qualities "being a perfectionist"?:S
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Sansa Stark
She started as a Disney princess wannabe... and look at her now! I think her storyline is one of the most interesting of the whole series. And her character is really lovely and you can't help but to care for her. (ask Sandor Clegane, if you don't believe me XD)
Sandor Clegane
What can I say about our favourite Hound that hasn't been said before? His past was traumatic but makes him an even more interresting character. His hate for his brother, his fear of fire (and with good reasons), his love for the pure maiden (aka Sansa), his refusal to become a knight (because, in his mind, knight=Gregor), his despair and now, maybe a hope for redemption thanks to the Elder brother? He's like a Byronic hero... and I really hope he'll get a happy end. (or a very heroic death *sobs*)
Tyrion Lannister
I absolutly adoreTyrion. He's a book-worm, like me and has a good sense of humour even in the worst situation. He's very brave and I loved the way he behaved with Sansa.
2.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Lysa Tully - She's insane.... but I did feel bad for her- how Littlefinger manipulated her. None deserves to be treated like that, to be used like that.
Littlefinger- I love him for being soo smart and I hate him for all he has done. I really hope someone (whose name starst with an S) realizes who he is and, eventually, pushes him throught the moon door. ;D
Joffrey- I think everyone will agree he was a brat and deserved what he got.
Also: the Freys, The Boltons and Ser Gregor.
3.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
The fight between Oberyn & Ser Gregor. OMG! Amazing moment, amazingly written.I think I loved it even more than the Battle of Blackwater. that's saying.
4. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
Dany, Jon & Tyrion are the three heads of the dragon and rule Westeros.
Bran becomes a knight, like he has always wanted. oh, and Ser Barristan is his mentor ;D
Rickon is chosen by the Wildlings as their futre leader.
Arya leaves the Faceless men and reunited with Gendry: they team up again and become a team of super knights having lots of adventures in Westeros and beyond! ;D
Cersei finds out Sansa is alive and sends Ser Gregor to kill her. Jaime & Brienne finds Sandor and team up with him to save Sansa.
In the meantime, Petyr has lost his title of Lord protector and been killed by The Blackfish.
Sandor & cie arrive but, eventually, it's Sansa who kills Gregor (remember the prophecy about the Maid with purple serpents in her hair).
Sansa becomes queen in the North. And Sandor is her consort ;D
Somehow, Brienne dies because of Cersei... and Jaime becomes the Valonquar? (Tyrion seems to be a choice too obvious...)
