All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
My ideal house would be an old mansion in the style of Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie, Louisiana, USA. A big white two floors mansion with doric columns, and blue windows, high ceilings, large rooms, double stairs a spacious central hall and a big library. The front of the house has an Iron gate and an alley of trees. The backyard has a flower garden and after that, woods with all kinds of trees: oaks, pines, and cherry and plum trees.
I would like a big house because I would love to live there with my whole family. My parents, brother and sister, their spouses and children and my aunt and cousin. I like the feeling of knowing they are near and well, but I don't spend much time with them. everyone lives in their own "world" and we get together a few times in the day.
2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
1)To be a healer: I have spend the last 10 years of my life battling some autoinmune diseases and my mother has cancer...so that would be my very first choice. To heal.
2)A Fulfilling, joyful and interesting life: to be able to experience the world and live a life of adventures, meeting interesting people and places. Traveling, seeing other cultures, to see incredible things. As a psychologist my ultimate goal and wish it's to meet a child prodigy, like mozart or Bobby Fischer, that would make my life complete.
3)the ability to change my appearance at will: sometimes in life you need to look dangerous, and other it's better to look cute. Nos exactly as Raven from the x-men who uses other people's appearances, But to be able to change the way people perceive me.
3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
1)I'm strong, and I never give up: my life has not been easy for the past few years but I refuse to give up on life. I deserve a retribution for all the pain I had suffered and I will get it, in this life or in the other. Despite the bad experiences I'm grateful, because after all the pain I have learned a few things:
-I can live alone, I prefer not to, but if I had to, I can do it.
-The list of things and situations that can hurt me or affect me keeps getting shorter.
-"If you're going through hell, keep going"...the only way is forward.
2)About other characteristics: I'm proud of me because I try to be fair all the time and I think I'm open minded enough. I recognize every point of view as valid.
A teacher once told me: "People cannot love you in the way you expect them to do it...they love you in the only way they are able to and you should be grateful of that love, even though it's not your ideal". That it's my mantra in relationships, and it's appliable to other things as well, because the real meaning behind it is: lower your expectations, don't take anyone for granted and always be grateful.
3)I'm not genius intelligent, but I'm resourceful and a fast learner. I'm very independent and straight forward. One of the things I'm most proud of it's that even though I'm not the best in anything, I'm good in a lot of things: I write, I cook, bake, design clothes, repair broken machinery, I'm very good in carpentry, I can ensamble a PC, I know a lot about medicine and I'm damn good in my field of work: Mental health. I can also be very cunning. I have no regards whatsoever on breaking a few laws if the end justifies the means.
4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
almost all of them are important, but the one thing that's really important to me and it's not above is freedom. But if I had to choose...
Most Important: Family because it's the only thing that makes life worth living, if you die without having family or kids, no one will remember you, you're whole existence will go unnoticed, lost in the anonimity. Love it's also important, but if I have to chose between being married and in love but without kids or being a single mother. I choose single motherhood.
When I think of family I'm not thinking of my biological family only, but also my friends. In my mind they are the same thing. When I think of family I'm thinking in a sense of clan or household or community.
As an example: my family has an state who is divided between siblings. We live in the same land, in different houses. We talk, we visit each other, but we spend most of the time alone. But in case any of us needs something, the others are always there to help.
least important: knowledge, because sometimes it only makes life more difficult. In an ideal world the least important should have been money. But after losing my house last year I now know for sure that despite not being an important part of my life, money it's a necesary part of it.
5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
a result to a personality test: (this it's going to be long but highly accurate)
"You are deep, thoughtful, analytical, insightful, serious, purposeful, genius prone, talented, creative, possibly artistic or philisophical. You are considerate, conscientious, self-sacrificing, and sensitive to others. In the workplace you set high standards, pick up after others, are schedule oriented, organized, detail concious and persistent. You see the problems and find creative solutions, you are goal oriented, you see the whole picture, seek practical solutions, quickly move into action, delegate, organize well and stimulate activity. As a friend, you have less need for friends than others. You'll lead, and you excell in emergencies. You are usually right. you make friend's cautiously, are content to stay in the background, avoid causing attention, are faithful and devoted, deeply concerned for others, will listen to complaints, and you can solve people's problems.
You are a born leader, strong willed, active, dynamic, decisive, not easily discouraged, unemotional, independent, self-sufficent, confident, with a compulsive need for change & to correct wrongs, and you can run anything.
There are some hefty weaknesses here too:
First of all you don't think there is anything wrong with you. You think you are always right, so you can't be wrong. You'll probably think the following aren't even weaknesses. They are. You are impatient, impetuous, inflexible, unsympathetic, bossy, quick tempered, dominating, and too busy. You can't relax, you won't let others relax, you like to argue, you won't give up when you are losing, you won't admit you are wrong, and basically you come on too strong. In the workplace, you have little tolerance for mistakes, you don't compliment others instead you are rude and tactless, you are manipulative & demanding, you may be too meticulous, or a martyr. You are not people oriented, choose dificult work, are hesitant to start, spending too much time on planning, prefering analysis to work, and you are hard to please with your high high standards. As a friend you tend to use people, dominate, decide for others, know everything, think you can do everything better than everyone else, be unapologetic, and be too independent. You remember negatives, hold on to hurt, sulk, get moody or depressed or guilty, you are too introspective, self-centered, with a low self-image, you feel persecuted and you mind is off in another world. You are critical, withdrawn, hold back affection, don't accept compliments, you are unforgiving, suspicious, and you dislike those in opposition towards whom you are antagonistic and even revengeful"
6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
I'm happy with earning enough to live comfortably. I'm not ambitious. I expect to be able to save enough to someday buy a couple of houses or apartments and live of the rent of those places. I do like some luxury though. Specially couture and gourmet food and good wines. I'm quite tech-savy also, so when I say comfortably I'm thinking about U$:70.000 annual income
7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
1)Paint oil portraits: I think I'm quite good, I enjoy painting people because I'm fascinated by the beauty and perfection of every single face. All faces tell a story. I don't know if this is useful but here's a link with some of my work. http://orevalc.deviantart.com/gallery/7533372
2)To cook and bake: I like to spend time in the kitchen and then sharing the food with my family and friends. I specially like compliments about my cooking skills.
3)to watch movies and series from around the world: I love to watch all kind of media, from anime to brazillian soap operas, to korean dramas and english period series. it's so interesting to see emotions and stories with similar plots, but in different cultures and languages. I don't like watching movies or series with other people. this is an activity I don't enjoy if shared.
8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
1)earthquakes: I've lost my old house on the february 2010 quake here in Chile. Maybe not just earthquakes but nature itself. It was the most scariest thing I have ever experienced. And I still have PTSD.
2)black magic: it's real and it's scary as hell.
3)To get old and not being able to take care of myself: I'm not afraid to die, but to live and be a burden. That's it's my nightmare. If I ever start to lose my mind I will commit sepukku. That's a promise.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
three Best: practical, clever, fair
I think these are explained in my previous answers, but I will elaborate further:
-Practical: I never let emotions get in the way of getting things done. I analize and find viable and simple solutions, and I don't lose my time on things that are outside my control.
-clever: or more specifically "crafty" in a devious sort of way. I'm pretty skilled in a wide range of things, some of them not very legal.
-Fair: I tried to be fair because I believe in karma. But I keep my fairness close to "facts", If somebody it's a jerk I will treat him accordingly. If somebody it's good and nice to me, or other people I will treat him/her with kindness.
three Worst:
-tactless: I sometimes forget not everyone is as though-skinned as I am. And I'm brutally honest ALWAYS. I don't believe in white lies.
-lazy: I don't move if I can avoid to. But in my defense I have fibriomyalgia
-uncharismatic: I'm not nice enough, I'm cold, not very empathic. I tend to social withdrawal.
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
I'm often neutral about characters. I enjoy the reading but I don't have a tendency to pick favourites.
Tyrion: so wise and funny. If he was real I would probably befriend him. He's neutral most of the time, practical and I can relate to his political uncorrectness.
Arya: she's fierce, driven and strong. I think I can relate to her the most, specially in her adaptability and unconventionalism...but I'm a lot more girly and less passionate in my reactions, but I can be very violent when provoked.
Asha: because she's one woman who knows how to use her gifts. She's resourceful and clever and she doesn't care what others might think, She's sure she's worthy. I used to be a little bit like her, in my younger years when I was in law school and involved in political matters.
other favourites: Dolorous Ed, Gendry, The Hound, Bran, Brienne.
2.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Catelyn: She's the epitome of a hysteric woman. She's impulsive, stubburn and makes stupid decisions.
Littlefinger: treacherous and gross. He just creeps me out.
Cersei: ambitius, wicked and narcisistic whore, I don't even care that much about the incest thing, but to fall in love with your twin it's most narcisistic behaviour ever.
others: Sansa, Joffrey, Theon
3.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
When the Starks found the Direwolves...it was a cute moment, specially when Jon found ghost. I think I like this moment because of the meaning behind it, The feeling to be bound to something or in this case to connect fully with other being. In addition I love animals. I have five dogs and a cat.
4. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
Jon in the wall, Bran in Winterfell and Dany in the Iron Throne with Tyrion as hand. Sansa with the hound and Arya with Gendry.
