I'm gonna go against the crowd here and go with Martell. Your fears struck me as very Martell-esque. They are very driven, determined, goal-oriented people and certainly don't take kindly to being deceived. Just look at Arianne and Doran. Also, you listed love as the most important and I do not believe a Targ would do that. Knowledge and Pleasure would be more important to them.
And, given your love of the sea, you'd probably love the Water Gardens!
