Yeah, fair enough, though I think I could pin down a few Baratheon traits. Overconfidence, determination, stubbornness, impulsiveness, impatience; most of them are easily angered. Firebrands the lot, pun intended.
It would be fabulous if Margaery were the mastermind behind everything. She could marry and rule beside Littlefinger. I could see it. As to the Tyrells pushing Renly into kingship, you may be right. Seems like he decided that on his own, though I don't think he'd have done it without the Tyrells' enthusiastic support (they have a lot of influence over him; his marriage to Margaery IS 'the mortar that held the great southron alliance together'). And remember that Renly did flee the city when he didn't think he had enough men to back Ned... without the Tyrells he wouldn't have been able to venture his bid for kingship, nor do I think he'd have wanted to.
I suppose you could argue that Renly strong-armed the Tyrells into alliance with him via Loras, who was an obvious ally (I mean, he's in love with Renly). And I think the Tyrells would have to support Loras; they seem like a supportive family, and besides, Loras is extremely charismatic, popular... Knight of Flowers.
