Crap. SO. It was definitely close for a while... Targaryen or Lannister, Targaryen or Lannister? And I almost want to go dragon with you, because I do think it works quite well, bu-ut... Impulse keeps saying House Lannister, and so shall run the vote.
Your particular death fear. Because I don't know that a Lannister would fear death itself--hell, some of them positively rush to it--but, ah, something slow and painful? Something that would leave them at some slow mercy of agony? NOT a plus for them (or, y'know, likely anyone, but think it'd be particularly painful for such a proud in the I control myself and the way that I act and y'all will never see otherwise, and I'll never let it be otherwise). And definitely more Lannister than Targaryen here, becaussse don't so much get the impression that Targaryens give death enough credence for fear. And the limb fear, of course. There's that particularly obvious example, but I do think that it'd be an issue for most of them, a sort of very large wrench in their plans.
Oh, god, the wishes... Excellent. XD They sound a bit Targaryen, as noted, but the layout of them, and that first wish... Holy hell, that's a Lannister at work. O_o They've got the ability to think a bit out of the box and to look into more fantastical thoughts (Tyrion shows this here and there and there, aye). And that level of planning/outlining kind of screams the sort of preparation typical of, say, a Tywin, or so it seems to me.
Response to seven brought out a flash of Tully... But I don't think will be running with that. And whilst I wouldn't say that love tops the list of most Lannisters, it isn't entirely out of the realm of possibilities. Because there is some sense of a need for love going around in that house, and maybe-also a sense that there was some in the past (Tywin and the wifey, hm?). We've got Jaime searching for it--and we saw it between him and Cersei for a while, call it as yeh will--and, hell, Tyrion and Cersei looking, in their own ways. They want someone to trust, they'd like to have a sort of stabilizing love (or so seems to be the case here and there). Also, listing adventure as last for not being necessary seems to suit the more pragmatic side of the house (which isssss rather necessary for getting on in the world).
In terms of the personality traits, Lannisters are certainly diligent when they wish to be. If the matter isn't of particular concern, then fuck it... But if it's something that they want or feel that the need, the Lannister ones'll push as far as is necessary. Positive and giving don't seem the closest fit at first, but I think they can work, too... Again, in the better light of the Lannisters, there's the feel that life is fine (particularly see Jaime freed of Cersei, just sort of being cool with things... and, actually, if there's a particular Lannister resemblance in you, thinking the later-Jaime gives a fair one). The worst traits seem more obviously suitable... In their most, ah, problematic states, they lead very much in the direction of Cersei, but can certainly be seen in the likes of Tyrion.
Sooo yes. Methinks you'd be one of the less hard-headed Lannisters, a somewhat more understanding example, but I really do think that it fits. The application kind of hit like BAM, this is ME, this is what I am, what I want, you understand? Sensible, understanding of real-world implications, but open to ideas that might not immediately present themselves to everyone. An artistic Lannister, if you will (an bit of an oddball Lannister, but a Lannister nonetheless), which is rather eenteresting... So there 'tis, aaaaand if ye be requiring further explanation, request away.
