Going against the current Stark trend here and voting Targaryen. Your fears echo Dany's fears, I think, and your best and worst traits do seem to be very similar to Dany's best and worst. I think Dany would be very honest if she could afford to be, but she can't because she's khaleesi and all that, and building her massive empire in Essos, and you can't be a totally honest ruler, can you?
I hear you on Stannis. So hear you on Stannis. He'd be a great king, actually - better than Renly, and certainly better than Robert. But then there's Melisandre (or Maleficent, as I think of her sometimes), and he really, REALLY needs to get rid of her because honestly? She's going to be his ruin.
