As for being a Littlefinger fan, I was actually ridiculously uncomfortable with the fact that I liked him. Whenever he did something that led to hell and death (and of characters I liked, no less!), I questioned why I liked him so much.
And then I realized: well, hell, don't I like Cesare Borgia for the same reasons? Sure, Cesare wasn't as clever as Petyr (close, though!), and Cesare wasn't quite so evil, but I liked Cesare precisely because he was scheming and manipulative - and Petyr was exactly the same.
But then there was the fact that I'd cast Ben Barnes in my head as Cesare (this was before The Borgias aired, mind), and I liked the face I saw in my head. I hadn't done the same for Petyr - until Aidan Gillen showed up in the show. From that moment on, my love/hate for Littlefinger was sealed.
