Really? Wow! That's very interesting! Now that you bring it up, I kind of see the parallels.
I'm pretty confident that Gendry won't get killed off as a result of an unfortunate combination of recreational drugs and a genetic condition, but considering the ways people usually get killed off in Westeros that's not much of a reassurance :(
