Hm, naming by linguistic themes, interesting. I've named by academic field. My cats have philosophy names, Nietzsche and Foucault. My technology has physics/math names; my laptop is Lorentz, iPod is Euler, the thumb-drive is Avogadro, and my Kindle is Maxwell.
Genealogy is a little like crack. Though at the moment I've got walls on all sides so it's a bit of a bad trip (to keep with the analogy).
(You see a little Greyjoy! I am not pushing here, but that makes me really happy. They're my favourite house. Mostly, I think because they're krakens and one day I'd like to own an octopus and I'm a huge fan of the Lovecraftian Cthulhu stuff).
