All About You

1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
I want a circular house made of glass, in the middle of a large garden, it would naturally have shades and such so there's not too much sun, but I want loads of light and open spaces, not much furniture, no decorations, just things to be used. A large kitchen, big comfy beds and couches (memory foam ahoy!), huge TV/projection room to watch movies with friends, near a road that gets me to city centre and to a mall in less than 10 mins but in a quiet neighbourhood, I want to be able to reach out to the city and busy life when I want to, but I don't want the busy life to be able to reach to me. Near a supermarket, near Subway, near public transportation, far from clubs and concert venues, again, I want to go there but I don't want the sounds of music I don't like to reach me. Brussels would be a nice place.

2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
a. One billion dollars, watch me save the world with it.
b. Wellness for my loved ones, safety, happiness and health for them all as well as .
c. Being loved just the right amount by people. This sounds really cunty but I hate being loved too much or too little, I often feel that people like me too much and I'm not able to reciprocate properly and when someone doesn't appreciate you it sucks cos you feel you had it coming lol. So yeah, rid me of that, this would naturally cover strangers, they'd be just the right amount of nice but not want to engage in conversation or befriending me unless I would want that too... oh god, that'd be so good.

3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
I am not a big accomplisher really, but I went to the Math Olympics for 4 years in a row and I got a scholarship at the most important and exclusive Economics university in Mexico, but I turned it down to follow my ~passion~ and become a filmmaker and I managed to get in a film school where 400 people apply and only 15 make it through per year. Didn't quite go as planned but, eh, ballsy!

4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
Friendship is most important to me, my friends are everything, my family wasn't a very happy place growing up because I just didn't fit in, and they tried to make me fit in places where I didn't either. So when I finally met people I could fit in with and be happy and who liked me I was just beside myself with joy. I'm lucky to have AMAZING friends, those that I deeply think of as friends anyway and some family members are in that category. And yeah, fuck everyone else really.
Next is Pleasure, I don't do things that I won't enjoy UNLESS it is because of friendship. Then Money, Knowledge, Love, Family and lowest of them all Adventure, I have enough adventures in my head. I don't like danger and confrontation and I do like going places but it's mostly to spend time with loved ones so... I like to watch, I can watch from the eye of my mind (or through someone else's lens)

5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
~Treat others the way you want to be treated~ or at least that's what I try to follow in everything I do. There's probably things that could describe me better as a person, but you asked for values and that's the best one for it.

6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
I don't care much about money, I want to be well-off because of what it would allow me to do, some of the most important people in my life live ridiculously far from me, and having money would allow me to visit them or sponsor their visits and such. I hate worrying about money, and while I'm also quite good at making money because I'm good at doing superhuman efforts and that pays off when you're a freelancer, I suck at saving money. I never buy things I don't need, but I'm just not stingy and I spend money on those around me so :P

7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
I like to watch movies, I like to read and write, sometimes I like to draw, I like to talk to people I love and flail about nonsense, I like gay stuff, I like to cook and I like to eat, I like to sleep and I like to mime dramatically to songs. Basically I like to create things that I and others will enjoy or revel into the creations of others.

8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
1. Being "bad", like inadvertently being a terrible person and hurting those around me, like, being a burden or not worth the trouble or ruin their lives without meaning to, I always feel like I've broken something.
2. Being the centre of a practical joke like Truman Show or something of the sort, where things that matter to me aren't real, like, being toyed with and then just being told OH IT WAS ALL IN YOUR HEAD, basically cos it's like inflicted schizophrenia and schizophrenia is bad enough no? heh.
3. The end of the world lol :| I know it sounds stupid but I'm not talking in a religious sense whatsoever, but say if a series of disasters were to destroy the Earth, we'd all be stuck together, people you love going through hardships you can't ease, and you can't do anything to fix anyone's lives and painful death is imminent for all lol :S

9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
BEST:
a. I'm kind. It's easy for me to be caring and warm, I feel I'm lucky to be able to be like that and I like it and its repercussions on those around me.
b. I have a good drive. I can accomplish stuff, if something needs to be done, I can do it with the minimum resources and a superhuman effort as long as I have good enough motivation.
c. I have excellent memory. I can remember full conversations with people that have happened years ago, so I never forget birthdays, your favourite meal and your allergies.

WORST:
a. I'm stupidly naive. I'm not a schemer and I assume people aren't either. I never realise when people are using me or fishing for stuff or when people are going to twist the facts or my words or lie to me or whatever. I'm a good judge of character from afar, but when people are near I just take things as is and I get screwed over because of that.
b. I'm bitter. I'm not good at forgiving people and giving second chances, I am not good at dealing with anger and frustration because I have high thresholds for it, it's very difficult for me to get angry or frustrated, I just shrug it off, so when it settles down, I am not good at dealing with it and it leaves me all bruised and mistrusting.
c. I'm sad most of the time. I'm not very mentally stable as a whole but above everything, I'm a depressed fucker.

A Song of Ice and Fire Related
These will probably be faily because I've only read the first book thus far, but I can't hold it in, a fourth one of my worst qualities is that I'm really impatient! I need to do things now, fast, asap :/ sorry!

1.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
a. Tyrion. HE GETS THINGS DONE. HE'S SMART AND SEES THROUGH PEOPLE AND YOU CAN'T HOLD HIM DOWN! He does what he has to do with his resources and he's quite a decent man in a fucking horrible universe. He's consistent and he's brave. I just love him to bits.
b. Samwell. He's just a bagel of sweet sweet love. He isn't the smartest, prettiest, strongest or bravest but he is just amazing and brings out the best in all the people around him.
c. Arya. SHE'S FLAWLESS AND AMAZING. See, I'm a fangirl, I don't like to overthink my love, it's just there and I know she deserves it.

2.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
I love all the characters because they're all wonderfully written, but these are the ones that make me think the worst kind of stuff about them for the time being.
a. Cersei. She's everything I despise in a person, and I just KNOW that if I was in Westeros, I'd just end up falling for her olympically and she'd ruin my life horrifically. I don't want to like her but I do sort of, hence my RAEG.
b. Littlefinger. He's everything I despise in a person, and I just KNOW that if I was in Westeros, he'd just end up stealing everything I love from me and ruin my life horrifically.
c. Joffrey. Ugh, you little misogynistic cowardly inbred cunt. /polite response

3.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
"He was no dragon, Dany thought, curiously calm. Fire cannot kill a dragon."
I just LAKDJGLASDGJALSDGKJ /coherent and verbose.

4. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
As I said, I've only just finished the first volume so this is naive at best... can everyone just be happy in a world were Dany rules and everything is full of gorgeous maids and whores and decent men having fun banter with their friends for years? And food, food is important. And Arya can be a knight 8) that's enough for me.

No Vote - I'd feel really uncomfortable voting you yet, not only because of the spoilers, but also because you'd find it hard to vote on other people's applications yourself, when you haven't encountered all the houses yet.

However, if you come back once you've finished all the books, I'll happily sort you then. :D

No vote. I understand your impatience, and this is a lovely group, but you won't be able to sort others until you've read more of the books. Two of the major houses aren't really in the story until book two and three, and you won't know anything about them until you're further along. You seem lovely, and I really hope you come back when you've read more of the books.

I'm really uncomfortable doing no votes, but I've become even more uncomfortable sorting anyone who hasn't at least finished book 3. This story is so rich, amazing, and unexpected that I refuse to let someone ruin it for themselves when they're clearly enjoying it as much as you are. This community WILL spoil nearly (if not) everything. Please don't do that to yourself. Please reapply, I'd love to read your answers after you've finished everything. Not Vote.

You only just finished Thrones?

No wonder you like Tarly.

As a good lion, I'm going to vote, because its my duty. And because points. [/contractual villainy]

Stark for me. I almost went Tully, but you seem much closer to duty than family.

Anyways, read the rest of the books!

I'm thinking Stark based on your best/worst personality traits but a little Tyrell too. But I agree with the others no vote until you finish reading!

The Britishness of your language is refreshing at first, though the language grates toward the end. You reminded me of our Lannister [livejournal.com profile] motodraconis to some extent at first, with the film school and all.

Not fitting in with the family reminds me of Tyrion, but the rest of your tone seems Martell in 4, apart from the adventure bit. There's some Targaryen in 8, though the "lulz" is distracting from being able to sort properly.

Kindness could be toward Edmure, naivety as if discounting Martell. Bitterness could reflect Hoster and Blackfish relations to some extent, I guess. While you should no doubt read the rest of the books or be spoiled even by reading the applications every week, No vote from me for now is because I can't decide where you should head for what limited information you're able to offer in characters and through my conflictedness above. I suspect you could be Targaryen as well, Tully not quite fitting, but can't see what it should be for the reasons.

The funny thing is that so many of your answers seem very Tyrell to me-- wanting fine things, not really caring about money other than that it's there and you're generous with it, the artisticness and kindness and wanting to live in the middle of a large garden...

And then you go and say that you're not a schemer and assume that others aren't as well, and that just kinda makes me throw my hands up in the air and go "Well, THAT doesn't work!"

The only houses that I don't see as schemers are Tully and Stark. The naivete leans more towards Stark, but I don't get that cold aloofness vibe from you, so I think we'll go with Tully.

PS: Read faster! :)

While I wish we had a concrete policy on how to vote when faced with applicants who haven't read the books... in your case, as in others, I just can't figure out what to do except ask that if you are voted into a House, PLEASE, PLEASE do not sort until you've read at least Book Three--you won't know how to do it!

That said, I see a mix of Targaryen and Martell in your application. And Targaryens seem more melancholy, so Targaryen it is. One of the good ones.

I feel like I need to be consistant and say No Vote because I've done that in the past. Come back when you've read more books and I'll be happy to sort you.

I'm also going to have to go with the No vote, with regret, and because you've only read the first book. Though in my case, it's not so much because it'll be hard for you to sort people when you haven't properly met all the houses, but there's a very strong possibility that the answers to most of your book-related questions will change as you get further in, and that affects a sort a lot. I'm just not comfortable voting for someone who might look like one house now but an entirely different house when they've read A Storm of Swords and their reactions to stuff change.

God, this kills me. You have such amazing spirit, I'd love to sort you and get you started in the comm right now. But I can't in good conscience do that to someone who's only read one of the four books. It would be like inviting you into a party and then telling you to sit in the corner and not talk for 90% of the time. So I have to give you a No Vote for now, but please come back and apply again once you've read all the books! We're not going anywhere. Thanks so much for your interest.
